Any opinions on the TX-SR804? (vs Denon 2807)

I was just about to order a Denon 2807 to power my soon-to-arrive Aperion speakers, when I stumbled on a description of the Onkyo SR804. ____ It looks darned like a 2807 clone on paper, but I can find ABSOLUTELY NO REVIEWS ...I guess it must be brand new??? (although many stores seem to carry it). It's cheaper, with better ease of use and has HDMI upscaling. ____ The only thing I can find is one user report on CNET by someone who returned his because of a hum that the manufacturer could not cure. That's it. ____ I *think* its like the SR803, but with better HDMI features ... So if you don't have an SR804, tell me about your SR803 experiences and whether the SR804 looks like an improvement. ____ Finally, do you think the Denon 2807 is a $200 better AVR? Thanks!

The 804 is brand stinkin new. Came out maybe a month ago. I had the '674, but ended up returning it to get something with preouts (which ended up being the HK 240) Now the Harman Kardon is sold, and I have the 2807. You're going to get a bit truer power with the Denon, but in my opinion, the Onkyo is a little more user-friendly. Is the Denon $200 better? Maybe. But considering the Denon's been out for a while, you may be able to find it for less than a Bill, in which case, I'd vote Denon.
