Yamaha RXV 1500 to 533 PTs

I am hearing the buzz about the built in subs with the 533 PT's, but don't feel I am getting the most out of them. I have a RXV 1500, and have changed the front speakers to large, and the sub to none. Is there another step I am missing? Are the L/R speaker cables the only connectors that need to be used? Or am I expecting too much from the built-ins? I am almost positive they (the subs) are not working at all. Is there another setting that should be changed?

is there a volume knob on the amplifier on the back? if yes, try adjusting that.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, there is a volume control in the back. It seems to have little or no effect, reinforcing my concern that the sub is not getting the signal...

    that is strange then.

my only suggestion now is to call Aperion directly.

Check the voltage switch on the back of the amplifier. Be sure it is set to 120V. If it is still not working, please contact us. You should hear lots of bass with the volume level set at half volume.
