Hello everyone,

When I first setup my Aperion 5.1 system, I forgot to put the speaker wire through the speaker stands, so tonite I decided to run it through.  To make the process easier, I took of the speakers to pull the wire through, but as I was putting one of the speakers back on the stand I pressed a little too hard and a chip came out of the bottom of the speaker, and the part of the speaker that gets screwed in moved up.  This is impossible to see, but I just wanted to double check that this should not affect the speaker and its sound.

So the threaded insert in the bottom of the speaker got pushed in?

It should be ok, push on it to make sure it is secure in there.  The speaker cabinet is 1" thich and the insert should not poke through to the inside.  If it gets forced into the hole further it should not be an issue, only if it were to break through the cabinet.
