    522D-LR on bracket--OK?

Anybody running a 522D-LR on a B-Tech BT77, Omnimount 20.0 Wall or similar? Since the 522 is a rear-ported design I worry about possible effect of mounting on the wall (although in my planned use it would probably be angled inward). I also assume the 522 has connectivity on the back for bracket use? Any preferences on B-Tech vs. Omnimount?

I use the omni mounts.  They do not interfere with the ports.  However, I think that the 522s are too heavy for them.  It was very difficult for me to clamp down on the ball joint tight enough to secure the position.  I had to use vice grips for the hex-key.

Good to see some discussion on mounts. It scares me just a bit thinking of hanging a fairly heavy object on the wall with a mount that is clinging to the drywall by just two little screws.  And it seems to me that toggle bolts would just make for a bigger hole in the wall when the whole thing comes crashing down.

Now I hear James saying (ok,ok, I see him writing) that he had a problem getting a tight enough grip on the Omnimount ball to keep his 522D-LRs from drooping.  The LRs weigh just 12.6 pounds; the same Omnimount is recommended for the VAC center speaker, and that weighs 20 pounds!

So let's hear from some users of this mount with this speaker (522D-VAC).  Any stories here?
