    My Speaker Set Up

    Hi All,

So I am thinking of selling my 522 satelites that I am using for my "side" rear channels in my 6.1 set-up and replacing them with the dipole/bipole Aperion makes.  Good idea?  I mainly watch movies by the way.

So if I have a room that is 14x17 ( the longer deminsion being the depth of the theater)  Do I place the diple/bipoles pretty much dead center on the sides of the room?

Because the "direct" speakers should be placed more towads the back correct?

    Thanks for any tips =)

    Re: My Speaker Set Up

    Hi Steve:

I have a 7.1 speaker setup and just recently moved my 534’S to the sidewalls.

I had a pair of 422’S near that location which I did not really like because the sound was too directional. The 534’S provide a broader sound, not directional at all and great for movies. I am experimenting between Bi & Dipole.

At first I used the 534’S as front main on speaker A with a pair of 532’S on speaker B.

Since I am waiting on my new 632’S to arrive to place at front speaker A, I made a shift in the position of the 534’S.

I have the 534’S mounted with the top placed at 49” and the center of the speakers mounted to the center of you’re ears in the audition area. I am really impressed with the sound they produce which is great for movies.

I would recommend the 534’S for surround since you have the option of bi-pole or di-pole.

    Jack
