Anyone heard Gallo Reference IIIs ?

I've still got a week left on my Aperion trial and several times I've nearly ordered a used pair of Reference III's, only way to afford them. Just this last couple days amazingly I found a used pair in my town, what are the odds? But it was listed 4 days earlier and when I tried to contact the seller he had sold and shipped them that day, so I lost a chance to demo them, which he would have let me do.

There are still some used ones for sale, but they'd need to be shipped, and if I found them to be no better in my opinion over the Aperions I would be stuck with selling the Gallos' myself.

I have 533-PTs for front and the LRs and Vac.

My problem is I'm not an experienced audio guy, so these Aperions are my first real speaker purchase, but I have nothing to compare them with so it's driving me nuts. Not saying anything bad about them, it's that I'm not sure if there could be something better for my tastes with music listening as I'm not currently 100% satisfied for what I've paid over what I used to have. My expectations might have been just too high and this is a lot of money to me.

Only around 7 days on my trial, if I count that right from the day they arrived and not shipped. I did have a plan in the future to maybe upgrade the surround LRs to 633-Ts and use them as fronts which would be great for music and the PTs in the back so their subs would only come into play with multi-channel stuff like movies. I wonder if I decided to do that if the trial would start over until the LRs are replaced with the 633-Ts.
