    Center Speaker Size - Furniture

I was wondering what others have found in the way of RPTV stands that will fit the size of the VAC center. I will be getting a 55-61" TV to round out my home theater setup, but cannot find the perfect stand to work with this speaker!

Everthing that I have found is either only 4-6 inches of heighth room on the top shelf, or if the top shelf has enough vertical space, then the 19" width becomes a problem, since most AV components are designed to fit into a 17" space!

I have found some stands that only have one shelf instead of two, but then the speaker seems too close to the ground, and would have to be steeply angled up to ear level.

I have been looking for something in a med-dark cherry color as well, though given the kind of luck I had so far, my standards are falling...

Hi, Dana. I just got a BDI Deploy 9634 stand in tempered glass and med-dark cherry. It's 61" wide, with an adjustable center shelf that can easily accomodate my 533 VAC--really all the space you need, plus plenty for components. (Actually, I put my center channel on top, as I'm doing front projection these days.) These go for $700, with free shipping. The Deploy also comes in a somewhat smaller version, the 9624, for $600, 48" wide, I think. Yeah, they're a little pricey, but they're really solid (HEAVY!) and nice looking furniture--high WAF (at least with my W...) Dennis

There is also the $34 option.  I was having the same problem finding a stand that would fit the VAC and all my gear.  At Circuit City i bought a center speaker shelf that attaches to the top of any tv (including thin rear projections).  I prefer having the center speaker on top of the tv b/c it sources better and it was cheap.  then i was able to pick any tv stand i wanted....not just one that would fit my speaker and components.

I had the same problem and decided to wall mount.

I did take a look at an adjustable height stand..
