    Mixing Aperion Speakers.

I have just put an order in for a 5.1 Speaker setup tonight

    It breakdowns like this:

    Fronts: I-632LR

    Center: I-532-C

    Rear: I-422-LR Satelite Speakers.

    Sub: I S-10, 10" Sub

I would have bought I-533VAC Center Speaker but I don't have space to fit. I cant make it a wall mount either.

My question is one: is this an "unbalanced system?" Will the 632's over power the dialogue for the 532-C Center speaker?

The satelites are because my couch is flush against the wall and I think the bigger speakers would be too loud and over powering.

    Thanks,

    New Buyer.

    RE: Mixing Aperion Speakers.

That's a tough question.  In my case I had the 633T for LR and the 533VAC for C.  I could tell a difference in tonal balance, bass response, and in general it just felt like the center was "too small" compared to the sound I was getting from the 633T's.  I've recently received my 634VAC and it fits perfectly.  I love it.

You might try calling Aperion (assuming they haven't shipped yet) and see what they recommend -- they might have run into this with previous customers.  I would hazard a guess that the suggestion would be to go with the 632 (since you can't fit the 533VAC into your setup).  Will the 632 fit?

At least Aperion has a great trade up policy.  If you get the 532 and find you don't like it you can ship it back and order the 632.

Let us know what you think and do.

(And of course give them about 50+ hours of break-in time before doing comparisons ).

You mean have a 632 as the center speaker. I guess I could. But after takin some cut throat measurements I think with some serious rearraging that I can fit the 533-VAC in my system. I think I will call them tommorw and talk about it. Maybe upgrade before it ships. Thanks for the advice.

Also, man you are bulding a great home setup, I saw the pictures. Good luck with that.

Thanks!  I probably should pull the projector down as motivation to get the room finished -- I don't even have lights in yet.  It's just too tempting to watch HD or a movie in there instead of do work...
