Suggestions for New Special Offers from Aperion

Undoubtedly I will be purchasing Aperion speakers in the next few weeks. However, the question remains as to whether or not there will be any special offers going on at the time. Im rather new to the HiFi speaker world, but it is clear that Aperion puts an emphasis on customer satisfaction that other companies do not. So, I figured it would make sense for us as forum members (customers) to formally suggest ideas to Aperion concerning their special offers. Below is a short list of some ideas I had. I'd be intrigued to hear realistic ideas and proposals from other forum members. Naturally we have to keep in mind that Aperion is a business, a very fair one, but a business none the less. Maybe Aperion would consider picking 3 or 4 options from our select list and then have forum members vote to choose what the next big offer is going to be. Maybe even create a New Offer Forum Directory. My Picks (Ranked from 1 to 5) 1. Omnimount 20.0 Wall mounts 2. Free Subwoofer or Center Channel with purchase of 5.1 or more system. 3. Free DVD player with purchase of 5.1 or more system. 4. Free receiver with same requirement. 5. Cables of course!!! (but they already did this) (You might think Im crazy for ranking wall mounts 1st. But, Aperion would probably have full autonomy to choose what speakers, subs, and electronics they offered with any deal. And what they offered may or may not suit your needs.)

I hope they bring back the cable offer.  I would love wall mounts as well, but I imagine the special offers are based in large part on what sort of arrangement Aperion is able to make with the suppliers of their accessories.  What would really be fantastic is if they offered 2 or three choices.

I am also new to this site.  I have been doing extensive speaker research and am considering the Aperion's 7.1 setup.  I agree with the previous posts regarding the cable offer... Maybe cable or music... for me, the music offer is not enticing.

I liked one special they ran for free accessories.  Purchase a certain dollar amount and they give you $100, $150, $200 worth of accessories.  I'll probably be buying some Belden speaker cable but a couple of free stands with purchase would be great.

Agree. I am patiently sitting buy before buying a center speaker and two 533-PTs.  I'm happy with the great price I'm getting but would love to get some kind of gift in return.

wow, I think that the "really nice guys" at Aperion would be the first to suggest that you switch to decaf.  The simple fact is that special offers is something that Aperion has chosen (successfully) to do to further market their speakers. Guess what, genius?  Giving feedback about this marketing tool helps these guys sell more speakers.  Aperion seems to have made its name not only with great speakers at a good price, but also by being receptive to its customers.  A little embarrassed that I fed the troll.

Psst...If you look at the thread ****le you'll notice it says "suggestions", not "demands".  It's a fun wish list - nothing less, and nothing more.  If you don't like the thread, then you're welcome to take your toys and go home.  I would imagine that you could find something more worthwhile to do at 5:45 AM central time anyway!

I agree with Rich's point of buying the speakers because of their value, not the value of freebies. Although, I must admit, it would be nice to get some high quality banana plugs with a pair of speakers.

RE: Suggestions for New Special Offers from Aperion

On 1/24/06 in the post "Check out the new promotion & contest", John Wanderscheid (VP Sales/Marketing) wrote,

"Thanks for the feedback Nick it is always good to know what our customers prefer. On the other hand, if we run the same promotion all the time then it really isn't a promotion. We are constantly looking for things that are interesting to our customers so if anyone has any ideas, send them my way."

(The last sentence was underlined by me for emphasis.)  So I think the vast majority of folks here were simply offering suggestions as John requested (and the subject of this thread suggests).

I agree, the folks at Aperion are first class.  However, when you flame their customers and potential customers, you are really doing a disservice to all of the folks at Aperion.  I think they would prefer the forums remained friendly and helpful, and folks could post without fear of being flamed.

IMO, the three greatest things about Aperion are:

    1. Amazing products at great prices
    2. Great employees and customer service
    3. Great customers who assist others, share experiences, and spread the word about Aperion.

    I hope this helps.

    Rich,

Funny how it only takes one to degrade the integrity of a good, fun thread... Try reading the subject of the thread again before you decide on your choice of words or is this just the way you participate in forums? Just jump in with such colorful command of the English language?  But then again, there are no requirements on who can and can't voice their opinions on these types of forums.  And 31 posts...oh my!!! I can't wait to review your past opinions...something for me to do next time I'm up at 5:42 AM.

Congrats Rich on your contribution to providing such an insightful reason why to purchase Aperion speakers.  Very compelling indeed.  Also while your command of the "A**holes" word is rather impressive, I'd personally spend a little more time learning the proper grammar usage of word "their".  Just my 2 cents there Richo...
