    533PT or 633T???????

I'm looking for suggestions on which of the two would be better sounding .Let me tell you what I have Sony 60XBR1,on BDI 77inch stand,Onkyo TXDS787 reciever,Velodyne CHT-15 subwoofer,Polk RT55i fronts, polk center ,AM5 II 's Bose surrond and two Bose 151 back surrounds.I watch alot of dvd's and sporting events in HD.Which of the two Aperions towers is better for me.Can I use the base from the sub and the 533PT's would this be practical or would the 633T's be what I need.By the way my set ups in my basement so I have plenty room. The polks is what I'll be replacing front, center speakers.

    Re: 533PT or 633T???????

I listened to both sets of speakers back in late December when I visited Aperion's showroom to see and hear their lineup.  Both my son and I agreed the 633-T's had a richer and nicer sound and we both preferred those as our 1st choice as the better sounding front speakers.  The 533-PT's are certainly nice too, but the differences were rather distinct and edged to the 633-T's.  I also added the 634-VAC (which I preferred from my just recently purchased 534-VAC so I traded up) and also added the 12-S subwoofer.  I have no regrets on my choices.

having heard both the 533-PT and 633-T (and 533-T) I would take the 633 any day.

overall, the sound was just better; much more pleasing to the ear. they had a more open sound than the 533-PTs, too.

plus, you'll get much better low-end response from the 10" or 12" subwoofer.

    Dale,

If you already have the 634-VAC, you almost have to go with the 633T, in my opinion. I don't think the PT's can match the "presense" of such a large center. I have not heard the PT's, but I believe they are better suited for the person that does not want to have a separate subwoofer or if they are going in a smaller room.
