    Well, here it is. Almost finished.  Ignore the Bose speakers, I just haven't gotten around to removing them and repainting.

    The first picture shows the HT center.  That's a Sharp 52" LCD (1080p) with a 5C above it.  I'm using 5T's for the fronts. You can also see the Bravus 10D "hiding" behind the left front.

    The second picture shows the 5B's I'm using for surrounds. Unfortunately, because of the room layout, they are behind the couch.  I do have a question about the 5B's.  We use the system mostly for home theater; are the 5B's my best choice?  I'd appreciate any insights.

    The 2nd picture.

    it doesn't show very well on the picture, but there's about 3 1/2 feet from the back of the couch to the wall.

    Great system. About the question of your surrounds and being a great choice, it depends on what you prefer. Remember choosing speakers is a subjective choice, meaning it depends on the person buying them. One may like them while someone else doesn't. That said it's hard to see anyone not liking Aperion speakers. Now as far as surrounds go, I prefer the diffuse sound rather than direct sound for home theater which gives a more spacious feeling. Dipole speakers are the way to go for diffuse sound and Aperion makes some. The question is where to put it. From your picture, you could put a left dipole speaker on the left side wall but I don't what your right side looks like. If there is a way to put a dipole speaker on the right side than great.  You could purchase the speakers from Aperion and keep your back ones so you can have a 7.1 system. You might need to upgrade your receiver to 7.1 but make sure it can decode the new sound formats for HD movies on Blu-ray. As said before, speakers are a subjective choice so you might like direct sound rather than diffuse sound. The good thing is Aperion has free shipping both ways so you can try it out with no questions asked from their awesome customer service. By the way, I like the Onkyo TX-SR705 which cost a little more than the popular 605 but it is THX select, has more power and one more HDMI input. It also has the popular and awesome Faroudja DCDi  Edge video processing. You can also find it at good deals at this time via web. Good luck.

    Not sure why you can't see the right surround; it's right next to that bose that's sticking out of the wall (which is now gone).  There's about 9 or 10 feet from the right to the left.

    I did angle them both down a bit and they sound better.  My biggest problem with the room is it has an echo, especially when sound comes from the back.  I've looked into acoustic panels but the look I got from my wife makes me think that's not going to fly :-)

    My AVR is a month old Yamaha RX-V1800 that does support 7.1; a new AVR is not in the plans.
