I have a Samsung DLP TV. It has three component video inputs. The first is a 420i/420p input. Inputs 2 and 3 are 420p/720p/1080i. The only component video input it recognizes from the HK AVR 635 is on the 420i/420p input. Unfortunately, my high def cable is at 1080i. I can input S-Video from the cable box and it recognizes that, but I lose a lot by not using component input such as automatic screen sizing for standard broadcast vs. wide screen.
I can bypass the AVR altogether and take the component input or DVI direct to the TV, but that seems to defeat the purpose of using the AVR as the hub for switching all components.
Has anyone had similar problems? Does anyone have any ideas how I might resolve this problem?
