    Got my system completed finally!!

It's been I think close to 4 years since I bought my first speakers from Aperion Audio.  I bought 2 532 lr's, when they released the HDx3 I believe.  Anyways I purchased a 12 inch sub from them shortly afterwards and have been enjoying the stereo system for a few years.  It has sounded great but I'm by no means an audiophile.  My living room is 24 ft wide and 16 ft deep.  And I also have a lot of open space going to the kitchen dining room and formal dining room.  The 2 532's filled the the living room of course with the help of the 12" sub powered by my yamaha rx-v757.

Anyways I just purchased 2 5b's open boxed, and a 5c to finish out my 5.1 system.  The biggest thing I noticed is that the 5b's are narrower than the 532's and I think the small woofer in it is slightly smaller than the 532's.  I have the 5b's up front to match with the 5c.  Also the color of the speakers is much more red and darker than my older speakers as I ordered them in cherry.   Anyways I played the movie cars with my 5 year old son last night.  I can say the sound fills the room even better and having objects feel like they fly through your room and move and come out of what seems to be nowhere adds such effect to a movie.  Sound don't sound like it comes from speakers....but from all around.  Needless to say my son's attention was fixed to the screen with his mouth dropped and when Frank came out of nowhere he ran out of the room in fear that Frank was coming for him too.

Needless to say I'm happy with my system and have many more movies to watch.   I can't wait to watch some Star Wars and Lord Of The Rings....but I have not the time at the moment.  I have to run and do some work in a little bit and then do family time stuff since those are the requirements of Family life.  Thanks to Aperion who make such great products....oh and BTW I did have a problem with my sub in the past while it was under warranty.  Aperion took care of it no problem....I had to ship it back but they replaced the amp in the sub and sent it back.....and has been great ever since.  I give great praise to Aperion Audio.   Oh.....one more thing I couldn't find any confetti on the packages when they arrived.

Well lucky you, one can never truly trust confetti.

I do have to share you sentments about cherry color matching. I just added 2 632L/R to my setup, and the legacy cherry is much much lighter. I also have 2 6B's and they are much darker allmost a red. Infact my 6b's match my 633t's much better, but then again i have the 633's in the limited orange cherry. So incase you have the legacy line and want to add, or have the new line and thinking about the very nicely priced legacy line. Keep in mind the cherrys do NOT match. However they do not generally reccomend you mix the 2 lines anyway, but hey my 6b's are serving as Rear Surrounds... so yah i dont think it will make much of a difference LOL.

    Bringing my new total to 2x 6B 2x 632L/R 2X 633T 2X 8D 1x 634vac

Im allmos tempted to buy another 634 just so i have 2 of everthing LOL. - I would seriously consider this... Tell me if its worth it...

Whats funny is my room is only like 12x10... so yah...

Also, and maybe tim agrees with me on this, I much prefer the look of the grills on the new line, its allmost a seethrough mesh, sorta giving you the best of both worlds... Do you sell the new grill design for any of the legacy speakers?

Unfortunately we do not...We haven't made any of the new grills for the classic line.

Well you've already got a 7.1 system, but I have heard that the 634 can make a lovely ottoman or coffee table so I say go for it!  Wink

Well beside the fact that two 634s would be an absolutely insane amount of center channel action, your receiver only has one center output so you wouldn't have anywhere to attach it.   Big Smile

Yeah I suspect the open box items will be flying off the site for the duration of the holiday season, at least I hope so.

Yah i dont think youll have any trouble with selling out open box.

And i knew there was only 1 center channel out, though i could just split the signal... but i think i keep forgetting just how much power these things have, i have such a small room i havnt even try'd to turn them up... plus i have all 6 series, inc my surrounds... i think i have more power than i know what to do with right now...  =)

Re: Got my system completed finally!!

I purchased open box.   I would of bought the center open but there was non available except the 634 and I didn't want something huge, the 5c barely fit in my stand as it is.  I'm all for a cheaper price though.  I'd be real interested in a pair of 4t's open box to trade on on the 5b's.   But I'm happy with what I got right now.

With what I have right now I have more power than I know what to do with too.  Although I like it loud....I think I had it up to -3.5 and had to turn it down cause it was too loud.  I keep it around -7.5 to -10ish or so though.  I don't know how far it goes but I've had it in the plus numbers with the 2.1 system I had and it was pretty darn loud.  And one thing is for sure the sub rattles everything on the walls.
