vladimir.olexa@gmail.com:on the same note, in a 15-20x15-20 room, would it be better to have one 10D or two 8Ds?  It's a trade off between those two configurations, you'll get deeper bass out of one ten but a more even bass distribution with less dead spots with two 8Ds.

Indeed a sub will help out with the bass, while the increased bass extension would be the main benefit of the 6B for your application you will also get a bit of a bump in midrange fullness out of the 6Bs over the 5B.

Hello and welcome to the forum! Most folks will find the 6B to be too large for a desktop set up since they are 8.3" wide and 12.8" deep, but they will provide you with about 30 Hz more bass extension and fuller mids than the 5B, so if you have room for them I think the difference in sound quality would be apparent.   Hope that ...
