I have to agree with PJ. 3 1/2 hrs is way too long regardless of the storyline. I begged for this movie to end. Now Wolverine, that's was pretty damn cool.

I have two 10D's and have little noise coming from either one. I have the sub volume on my AVR set to +5db, and the sub volume at +3db. If I crank the sub volume to their maximum setting, I can certainly hear hiss. But obviously that's not their ideal position.

The rubber bumpers are included with your 5DB and you manually attach them to the speaker itself (they have a sticky back).
I think you may need to mock up a floor plan for us. Not sure I fully picture "same plane as the front speakers"?

Part of the mounting bracket secures to the speaker itself and then "rests" on the matching wall attachment. The speakers lean slightling downward after the attachment is made.
