I have the 4Ts and 8D as well as the 4C (4BPs soon maybe). If you can put a dynamic cd on repeat and let it run all day while you are at work it will sound better when you get home. It took at least 10 hours on my Aperions to start sounding to my liking and they continued to improve after that.

Setting up a sub for music is more difficult than setting it up for video because of the nature of how the bass is used. You probably need to try moving the sub around a bit. Even a few inches can make a difference. Also if you have the fronts set to large and have double bass on it can be too much.

Yes, and it is actually desirable to have a larger amp as it gives more head room. Of course I drive my 4T and 4c with a 75w/channel amp and I never get close to max ...
