• Been about a year now for my 4T Hybrid...

...and I'm loving 'em. Gotta say, there's few time where a product truly lives up to the hype. I use it primarily for TV, but every once in a while a moment occurs when I'm alone in the room and can just sit and listen to some tunes. Not often with 3 children. But, tonights one of those nights. 2 ch. ...

  • Re: Speaker purchase question

I have a similar sized room and sit 12' from my TV. I have 4T's for the fronts, 4B's for surrounds, a 8D sub and 4C center. The sound is phenomenal. I would go with the 5C if you can swing it. I would have but just couldn't shoe horn it into my space. The 4C is perfectly fine, but I think the 5C would ...

  • Loving the sound.

Sitting here listening to Louis Armstrong sing What a Wonderful World. What a sweet sound. Listening in pure mode through a pair of 4T's. Amazing the sound these produce. Lovely.

  • Re: New to Aperion

It really depends on the size of your living room when deciding on which series. I have a room that is about 18x18. I have the 4 series hybrid and it's plenty loud. The 8d rattles the walls if you want it to. When deciding on speakers, I narrowed it down to the B&W's Sat's and the Aperions. ...

Lowes sells 12 ga. you buy by the foot. Not super duper encapsulated, but if you careful with your runs, it should be fine.

  • Re: Onkyo 705 problem. Help!!!

Very true. The Onkyo had been dropped, as the box and stryrofoam was damaged. I rolled with it since it seemd to work ok.. My folks had an Onkyo for many years and it always sounded great. Initially I thought some of the sound issues were just tight speakers. It did improve with some playing time, but after hooking up ...

  • Re: Onkyo 705 problem. Help!!!

Ironically, I exchanged the Onkyo for a Denon 789. It has a much better sound. The Onkyo never sounded "full" . It always seemed dull or flat. Pure and Direct were particularly dissapointing. Sitting here listening in Pure mode is wonderful. There is a tremendous difference. If i'm moving ...

  • Re: Onkyo 705 problem. Help!!!

Hi Jason, Yes, the levels are correct. It is definately defective. It's been less than 60 days so I'm going to Circuit City tonight to try and get them to return it. The one I bought it at is one of the ones being closed, so maybe they won't care and will take it back. I initially bought the HK AVR-254 ...

  • Onkyo 705 problem. Help!!!

I just received my 4B's for my surrounds. I get 'em all hooked up and the right channel barely outputs any sound. I swap the connections on the back of the receiver to verify it's the receiver and not the speaker or wire run. It is the receiver. I powered it off and let it sit for a few minutes. Any ...
