sorry about that post, I had been out drinking a bit.   Yeah, I took Apple TV back because of the software issues and got the Airport base that you plug into the wall and connected it via mini digital to toslink to my 805.

So this is what happened. Got the Apple TV. Sound quality is top notch using HDMI(not having heard the Airtunes, i had nothing to compare it to). Used the Youtube function extensively. Great piece of tech. Problem was it didn't recognize the movies i had on my iTunes library, spent 45 min on Apple Care to find out it needed to go back to the ...

PJ, How do I select the Toslink connection to listen to my Airtunes on my Onkyo?

I can only choose between 4 and 6 ohms....Is that right?

OK. I bought the Apple TV. I have 14 days to return it and Im on Vacation this week. If the sond quality isnt top notch, I will be taking your advice PJ. 

What if I were to buy a Mini Display port to HDMI adapter? Does that transfer music or is sthat only for video? (I have a MacBook)   You know what, Im heading to the Apple Store on this one.......I'll let you know how it turns out.

I THINK, unless i hear something bad about he Apple TV, that i will be buying an Apple TV and bypassing the iPhone all together and get the music striaght from my iTunes library.
