  • RE: New Speakers

Congratulations! I have a similar set up (632LR's for fronts, 533VAC center, and 532LR's for surrounds, S10 for sub, 522's for presence--piano black) running on a Yamaha 2700. Have been listening to music most of the day and I am listening to a live Santana CD right now--the Aperion's sound great. I don't think I've enjoyed my CD collection this ...

  • My Speaker Set Up

Hi All, So I am thinking of selling my 522 satelites that I am using for my ''side'' rear channels in my 6.1 set-up and replacing them with the dipole/bipole Aperion makes.  Good idea?  I mainly watch movies by the way. So if I have a room that is 14x17 ( the longer deminsion being the depth of the theater)  Do I place the ...

  • 6.1 speaker compatibility

I bought a pair of 522s along with an S8 sub for stereo a couple years back, and am thinking now of upgrading my HT from a Yamaha set-up to all Aperions. I'm thinking of going with a 632/533 VAC front stage, but would like to use the old (but still nice) 522s for rear surrounds. Also, since my HT amp is 6.1, I need a rear center. Two questions: 1. ...

  • Question on subs in 533-PTs as the only subs in a 5 channel HT

When building a system with 533-PTs that have the built in subs, does that mean these subs only respond to sound fed to their channel, in this case the front left and front right? Meaning that they won't give support to the center and rear speakers, like the 522D-LR and 522D-C? My worry of this comes from the thought of a movie where you might ...
  • 633-T Tower Speaker - Should I get a pair?

Hey ladies and gents,      I see that Aperion has come out with a new tower and of course I want it!  Here's my dilemma.  I currently have a 7.1 setup consisting of (2) Power Tower fronts, (1) VAC, (2) 522D-LR surrounds, and (2) Dipole back surrounds and the S-10 subwoofer.  I love the look of the new Towers ...
  • Speaker Impedance

I just received my Aperion Speakers (4-522 D's and S12 Powered Sub, still awaitning 522D VAC) and have a question surrounding speaker impedance.  The speakers are attached to my receiver - Yamaha RXV-2500, and within the GUI automated setup menu  the receiver asks to select a speaker impedance (6 or 8 ...
  • 522D-LR on bracket--OK?

Anybody running a 522D-LR on a B-Tech BT77, Omnimount 20.0 Wall or similar? Since the 522 is a rear-ported design I worry about possible effect of mounting on the wall (although in my planned use it would probably be angled inward). I also assume the 522 has connectivity on the back for bracket use? Any preferences on B-Tech vs. Omnimount?

  • Getting close

I think I'm down to Aperion 522D-LR or Axiom M3Ti for my 20x15 room. Anybody have any final experiences/comparisons/advice.

  • Comparing bookshelfs for possible later surround system

I have a (15(?) year-old pair of American Acoustics bookshelf speakers being used as stereo speakers in a second room off my Sony STR-DA4ES receiver. This is a larger room, 15x20 with a peaked ceiling that starts at about 8.5 feet and runs to about 12 feet high. The speakers are on the long wall. On the left is an 8' by 7' opening to the living ...
