  • New System

All, I'm getting ready to set up a new 5.1 HT system and would appreciate your comments/recommendations.  Unfortunently, while the boss doesn't seem to have a problem with buying almost 2 grand worth of speakers (didn't tell her I also needed a new A/V Receiver...) she does have a problem with rearranging our family room and ...

  • amplification for Intimus 533-PT towers

Just bought new Aperion Intimus 533-PT towers to use as stereo speakers (may xpand to the full home theater by building around them).  Do you think that my old Onkyo TX-SR304S receiver would provide enough power for them or should I look for sth bigger (like TX-SR604 with 105W at 8 ohm)?

  • Decisions Decisions for a loyal Aperion owner!!! ..... 533-PTs or 633-Ts

I've been an Aperion audio owner for a good while now.  I have a 7.1 setup (currently running 5.1) with the 533-PTs anchoring the LF and RF positions, 634-VAC pulling center channel duty, 533-SS pulling SR/SL duty, and S-10 completing the army.  The 532-LRs were the SBL and SBR channels, but I had to put them to bed temporarily when I ...

  • Help needed 532 vs 632 vs 533PT

#1: 532L&R+S10  #2: 632L&R+S10 #3: 533PT L&R I have a 20x30 living room with 50 inch plasma.  I'm trying to build a nice HT but I know nothing about audio systems. My listening will be 70% movies and 30% musics but despite music being only 30%, I sure don't want to be missing any music quality. I know 533PTs are ...

  • Got a Beta C360, Then I found Aperion.

Ever since I bought a projector I've been on a quest to upgrade my HTIB.  Last week I was settled on the Infinity Beta series.  So, I went out and made my first speaker purchase, the Beta C360 Center. I really like it. But that was last week, and this is... now.  I was running around a few home theater websites and ...

  • on the same plane?

Hello fellow aperion enthusiasts. I've been working on subwoofer placement and I got a question. What does it mean exactly to put the sub on the same plane as the front main speakers? I'm confused because it seems as if my 533pt has two planes, since the midrange and tweet fire to the front and the 8'' built-in sub fires to the ...

  • Yamaha RXV 1500 to 533 PTs

I am hearing the buzz about the built in subs with the 533 PT's, but don't feel I am getting the most out of them. I have a RXV 1500, and have changed the front speakers to large, and the sub to none. Is there another step I am missing? Are the L/R speaker cables the only connectors that need to be used? Or am I expecting too much from the ...
