  • Re: Surround Speakers / 5B / Speaker Stand Options

Just got my set of 6B's and my 6C and they are unbelievable!  I can't even express how excited I am and I am confident that I made the right choice. I'm thinking of adding some surrounds and can't decide on 4b's or 5b's and there are couple of reasons I'm struggling. First off my room is long (20') and ...

  • Re: Surround Speakers / 5B / Speaker Stand Options

PJ, I did get your email. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. Appreciated your thoughts on the i29 stands as well as your remarks about the 5Bs. Truthfully, I wasn't 100% sure what I was going to do surround speaker wise but I think your email along with my current set up convinced me to go the route of the 5Bs versus the 4Bs ...

  • Wall mounting 5Bs

Hey, just wondering if there would be any downside to wall mounting my 5Bs with the BT77 mounts opposed to putting them on stands. I just wasn't sure since they're rear ported. Also what results would I get if they were mounted in the corner vs 2-3 feet away from the side walls?  Thanks. Edit: forgot to mention, these are my ...

  • 5B vs 4T

I've read how the 4T will offer superior mids, be easier to power, are able to produce lower frequencies, and will offer more sound. Also that the difference is most significant for music. I generally listen to music in 5 channel stereo, a little multi channel, and never strictly 2 channel. I have 5Bs for fronts right now, 5C & 4Bs. In the ...

  • 5Bs, 5C, 4Bs, 12D...Up and running!

Excuse the bad lighting...it was dark last night when I got everything set up, so I snapped these quickly before I left for work.       I have concrete floors (well...practically everything, really), so there wasn't a very good way to run cable to the rears.  The above solution was something simple that I ...

  • Got my system completed finally!!

It's been I think close to 4 years since I bought my first speakers from Aperion Audio.  I bought 2 532 lr's, when they released the HDx3 I believe.  Anyways I purchased a 12 inch sub from them shortly afterwards and have been enjoying the stereo system for a few years.  It has sounded great but I'm by no means an ...

  • Got my 4T's today!

My 5.1 setup is now complete, with the arrival of the backordered 4T's today!  I now have those babies in the front, a 5C in the middle, 5B's in the back, and a 10D to pump up the bass!  All in gloss black to give some contrast to the big cherry entertainment center. some observations - the 10D really can shake the ...
