  • My Aperion 7.1 Surround System

Hello All..  Well after 14 long months of construction on my basement I can finally say that it is 99% completed.  I figured I owed the good folks at Aperion and the forum (since I visited regularly for advice) some pics of the finished product.  Below is a listing of my set-up and some pics.    Components:TV: ...

  • Pioneer VSX-1019AHK issues

Help!  Anybody got ideas? I'm trying to find out why my 3 month old Pioneer 1019 receiver is having issues driving my Aperion 5Ts.  I ran this receiver choice by one of the Aperion gurus before i even picked it up and it was recommended, in fact the guy i talked to gave some praise to the receiver.  Running at ...

  • 5Ts + 8D in the small room vs. 6Ts (no sub)

Hey there,   I recently purchased a speaker set from Aperion (5Ts, 5C, 4Bs + 8D), and after testing them for couple of weeks, I must say I'm still astonished by their ability to reproduce sound - they are superb product, indeed!  After reading few posts on this forum, my appetite for delicacies grew even more, and I started ...

  • Aperion better than Polk? Is this really an upgrade?

So I've got a Polk Audio RM6750 5.1 setup in my family room with a Yamaha 8" subwoofer  that replaced the original Polk sub that failed on me all running off an Onkyo SR304(don't laugh it's the best receiver that will fit heightwise under my wall unit) , and I'm reading all the glowing reviews and comments on the ...

  • 5T driver question

Heya, I've had my 5ts for awhile now and am very happy with them for both music and movies. Mostly I listen to music and they have a wonderful sweet sound to my ears. I'm wondering about the drivers in the 5ts vs. the 6ts. Does the 5t have the same tweeter as the 6t? Looks like it from the pics, but ?It looks like the drivers in the 5ts ...

  • Also new to forums - looking for system recommendations

I was just reading HokieTim's thread and my room size and needs are almost the same as his, but I figured I shouldn't hijack his thread.  Anyways I am new to the site, have been researching extensively online for the past few weeks and this site is great, love the forums.  What I am looking to do is set up my first 5.1 ...

  • Slowly building a 5 series system (Onkyo SR606, Phillips 52")

Hey folks. I can't afford the whole 5 series system in one shot so I'm purchasing the components over time. I'm starting off with the 5Ts and I've attached a picture of the current setup (click image for larger size). I'll update this thread over time as I get the remaining speakers. I'm definitely desiring more base so ...

  • 4T vs. 5T & 4C vs. 5C

I'm ready to buy Aperion speakers as my 5.1 surround sound system for my new HDTV. I will spend about 60% of my time watching HDTV and Blu-ray movies on my HDTV (gaming and music will make up the remaining 40%).  I am torn between the 4 and 5 series front speakers and center channels. My room is 15 by 22, has ...

  • Sound difference between 5T and 6T

I've got the bug to upgrade my old RT800 and CS400 Polk speakers.  What I'm curious about is the sound differences between the 5T and 6T speakers (I know the public has not heard the 6Ts so for now, just looking at the theory).  My low frequencies are taken care of by a pair of SVS PB12-NSD's in an approximate ...

  • Re: Intimus 5T?

In response to Stretch:  Thanks for your interest in the new 5T. We have put a lot of love into this fine speaker and are very proud of the result. Despite the difference in the photos, the ports actually have the same internal diameter (50mm). However, the 533-T port has more "flair" than the new 5T - so it looks a little ...
