    I bought a pair of 522s along with an S8 sub for stereo a couple years back, and am thinking now of upgrading my HT from a Yamaha set-up to all Aperions.   • listening to DTS ES/EX 6.1 on a 5.1 system

    Like most people, I like DTS over DD.  Some of the newer DVDs are coming out with DD 5.1 and DTS 6.1 (either discrete or matrix).  For example, the LOTR trilogy and Gladiator.  My question is whether it makes sense to choose the 6.1 DTS track instead of the 5.1 DD even though I am only set up for 5.1.  It probably ...
