Hello  I am the happy owner of  a set of aperion, but ever since I use them I had the following issues: 1. The subwoofer not always has sound, sometimes it goes away with no reason, any idea why? 2. The surround speakers (back) happens the same. I assume that not all movies use them in their recording therefore not always they will ...

Setting up a 5.1 system in a finished basement.  Main listening area is fairly small at 16' wide by 12' deep although the true back wall of the room is 24"  8 foot ceilings of acoustical tile.  Room will be used for movies gaming and stereo music.  With some help I've narrowed to down to the following two ...

  • Noob question about hooking up my new speaker

Hey all, I just recently got the Intimus 533-VAC Center Channel Speaker that I ordered. I would like to run it through the stereo that I currently have. Unfortunately it is old and not so great and I am having trouble connecting. The speakers now are connected with bare wires, but two pairs (one to each speaker). The new speaker is, ...

  • help with manual set up of onkyo sr602

Recently replaced my jvc rx-6500 rcvr with the onkyo sr602 and have spent the past week sitting in my recliner with the auto set microphone on top of my head trying to get it to read my sub. I'm a newbie, obviously. Fond the review on cnet (and others about the issues with auto set on this unit and did what they said the onkyo rep told them. ...

  • Connect direct to receiver?

I'm considering Aperion for my home theater/music system in my new apartment. We're about to close the AV wall and I've realized that some speaker systems require you to connect L/R speakers through the sub instead of directly from the receiver, which would mean I'd have to do some additional wiring very soon. Does Aperion require ...

  • Reversed polarity on a new 533-VAC?

I received my 533-VAC today, which replaced a 422-C. My receiver (Yamaha HTR-5990) has an automatic speaker configuration feature, which thinks that the phase of my connection to 533-VAC is reversed. In other words, I have to connect the + of the receiver to the - of the 533-VAC, and vice versa, to make the receiver believe that the phase is ...

  • Biwiring center speakers - Yamaha amp

hello all I am purchasing the 422/S8 package for a impending holiday home purchase (before I have no more cash flow, or WAF). My dedicated home theater room sits below in an 800' sq L-shaped finished ...

  • System configuration help.

Hi all, I'm looking at the following configurations and wondering which would be the best to listen to music and have a decent home theater experience.  My room is 20' x15'.  I'm leaning toward option 2, but not sure if the 633T with the subwoofer is the better option.  Thanks for your help! 1) (2) 533-PT, (2) 532-LR, (1) 533 ...
