Hey Cucore,
To be of any real help, I'd like to know what's in the guts of your HTPC. Are you using a Motherboard with integrated HDMI audio AND Video or are you using a separate video card with HDMI audio support? Some model numbers would be really helpful. I've been working on my own HTPC at home quite a bit lately and have had to ...

I can't seem to play SACDs in my system, which is causing me to weep. The set-up:
CD/DVD player = Oppo 970 HD
Receiver = Denon 2807
Speakers = An unstoppable force of Aperion sound (fronts = 2 x 633T, center = 634, surrounds = 533T, S-10 sub -- and yes, this system is as unbelievably amazing as you might expect)
HDMI connect between ...

Hi everyone--
I know the ''what receiver should I buy'' threads are becoming redundant, but please forgive me as my question is a bit specific.
I have a Sony (non-ES) receiver that I've had for awhile & has been decent for home theater use, but I'm listening to a lot more music lately. I would like to upgrade to a new receiver, ...

I am having a very difficult time deciding on a receiver for my Home Theater and at this point have been unable to find one that has all of the features that I am looking for. I plan on using my system for HT/Music 60/40 and will be purchasing Aperion speakers. Ideally, I would like to have a single cable (HDMI) to my TV and run everything through ...

Hey Guys, I got my system together and it sounds great!!!
2-633T, 1-634VAC,1-S10,2-534SS.
I ended up putting the 534SS speakers on the L/R sides of my back wall as dipoles.
However, I have room for 1 more 534SS speaker on my back wall in the center. I would like to know if this is a good idea for Aperion for 2007?
Extra Info: HDMI ...

As you alluded to, there are many factors that go into a purchase decision, quality being one of them. Looking back to VHS vs Beta, clearly the lower quality format won. The consensus appears to be for the following reasons: lower cost, more options on devices (Sony vs the world), more content (once they figured out that playback of ...

Hi,
Has anybody experimented with longer HDMI cable lengths, such as 10, 12, or 15 ft? Any degredation in the video signal at around 10-12 ft? Also, any recommendations on good manufacturers for 10-15ft HDMI cables?Anyone have any experience with Blue Jeans, RAM Electronics, Better Cables, or even Sony (they make white cables to match ...

Hi,
This might seem like an obvious question, but I would like to make sure: I have a DLP tv with Faroudja DCDi processing and HDMI input and was considering buying an upscaling DVD player with HDMI output. This player has an okay 10-bit 54Mhz Video DAC but other features I want, compared to players with better 12-bit 100+Mhz Video DACs but ...

Hey Matt, you mentioned starting another thread about upscaling to 720p/1080i via HDMI. To answer your question, yes I do upscale pretty much everything to 720p. As you know, I've got the DVD-3910, it runs HDMI out to a Sony KDF55WF955 (Grand Wega IV RPTV). I was FORCED to compare the output with HDMI to output with component, as the HDMI ...
