My "little" s-8 is quite impressive, I have no problems blasting movies and most music.  This little guy really shakes the house. My issue is sometimes it shuts itself down.  Maybe protecting itself.  It seems to do it during music with a heavy kick drum. Does anyone think a subsonic filter would help like this ...

Two questions really. First, is this a reasonable combo for a 5.1 system? Im considering using the 422's as my fronts, the 422 C, the 534's as my side surrounds and the S-8. I got a 422/S-8 HT compact system recently and paired it with the Onkyo TX-SR602. I notice a hum coming out of the sub when I turn off the receiver. Am I supposed to turn-off the subwoofer power switch at the back everytime I turn-off the receiver?
