  • Crossover help

I am trying to wrap my head around crossover settings and some help would be much appreciated.  If I were to get the 5C, 4Ts as fronts and 4Bs as surrounds with the 8D for the sub, what would be an ideal crossover point for each speaker?     I read the instruction manual for each speaker, but they differ in their suggested ...

  • Need Recommendations for Crossover Settings and Use of Double Bass

DOUBLE BASS I've read in various locations throughout these forums about the double bass option for sending full range to front speakers and then also sending the lower frequencies to the sub as well. I would like clarification on how to set up these possibilities for my combination of speakers and receiver (both with and without the double ...

  • home audio crossover

I have a home audio box that is 12''l x 25.5''h x 16''w that houses three speakers: a 12" woofer, a 4'' mid-range and a 2'' tweeter.  The speakers are in good shape but the original crossover suffered some damage and I experience quite a bit of sound loss in each of the speakers.  While I ...

  • Another Crossover Setting Thread...

Hey Guys: I've had my Aperion setup for about a week now and I'm lovin' em. I wanted to make sure I'm getting the best sound possible so I wanted to check on crossover settings. Here's my setup: Receiver: Onkyo TX-SR674 Front: 532LR Center: 533VAC Surround: 422LR Sub: BIC Acoustech H-100 Room is ~13 x 14 with a big window ...

  • RE: Any thoughts on a "634T" or "534PT"

Thanks for your comments on the 633, Rick. While I see your point, if a crossover is done well you should eliminate issues at the x-over points. My Aerial 7b's are excellent throughout the spectrum. While I don't expect to compare the two speakers directly, it can be done.. and be done well with excellent results. The 634VAC is a similar ...

  • Sub crossover

I have a Yamaha RXV-657 for my receiver and Aperions 10'' sub. When I run the YPAO set up on my receiver it always (no matter what placement of sub or Mic) sets my crossover at 200. The directions for the receiver say to set the crossover to max and the phase to zero before running the set up. It sounds good to my somewhat untrained ears ...

  • 6.1 speaker compatibility

I bought a pair of 522s along with an S8 sub for stereo a couple years back, and am thinking now of upgrading my HT from a Yamaha set-up to all Aperions. I'm thinking of going with a 632/533 VAC front stage, but would like to use the old (but still nice) 522s for rear surrounds. Also, since my HT amp is 6.1, I need a rear center. Two questions: 1. ...

  • Crossover on H/K 635

I'm trying to figure out what crossover to use with my 422s 522s and 422 center. Do I set them all at 100, or do I set the 422s at 100 and the 522 at 80?
