So I purchased the 4Ts, 5C and 8D. My room is small (12ftLx10ftWx8ftH). What would be a good surround sound speaker set? The 4B or 4BP?
The speakers will be on either side of the couch, which is is 9 feet from the TV. The system is almost exclusively used for watching movies and TV.
Also, do the floor stands work for the 4BPs?
Thanks

Hello there,
Since your usage is primarily for TV/movies I recommend the 4BPs since they provide an enhanced surround effect in comparison with the 4Bs.
As for the stands you can use the i31s with them, although I don't recommend raising them to their full height of 46 inches as they do get a little unstable at that height. They work well at the 31 or 36 inch heights though.

Jason,
Thanks for the answer.
I ordered the 4BPs today. Very excited.
Anyway, a couple more questions. What is the optimum height for the surround speakers? Do the 4BPs have a place on the bottom to secure to the stand?
Thanks Again.

The optimum height for the 4BPs are five to seven feet off the ground so if you can wall mount them that will be ideal.
But yes, if you do use the stands the 4BPs do have a threaded insert on the bottom to secure them to the stand.
