I am considering pairing the 6T's for fronts with a 5C to take advantage of the deeper bass and midrange of the tower while trying to save a little money on the center. Is this too much of a mismatch or would that combination work reasonably well?

The combination will work great, assuming you don't have an enormous room or sit really far away from the TV.

I have this combo and it works great! I had to go with a 5C because of the limited room of my TV stand. It matches excellently with the 6Ts! Highly recommend.
