So, I'm on the fence about these two tower models. I really like the Versus Forte, but the only thing holding me back is the positions of the ports (front). I don't want to have to place the towers 1 foot away from the wall so I'm leaning towards the 5T. Anyone out there heard the difference in the 2 and/or used them a little closer to the wall?

The Forte Towers just started shipping last week, so as of yet very few people have heard them beside myself. If they are going to be closer than a foot to the back wall a front ported speaker like the 5T will be your best bet. You'll still want to give the 5T as close to a foot from the wall as you can.
