Great speakers - my system is complete
Verus Forte Satellite Speaker Pair

Verus Forte Satellite Speaker Pair

Thees speakers were one of the best investments I made in my home audio system. They pack a punch and I feel that my system is complete, for now...
After much homework…I’m so excited about my Verus Towers
Verus Grand Tower Speaker

Verus Grand Tower Speaker

I have been in the process of building a home theater from scratch. About 10 years ago I had a pair of Aperion bookshelf speakers…and loved them. So Aperion was on my short list. After much research on-line and at some local brick & mortar, I was also considering:
B&W CM10
Revel F206
Paradigm Studio 100 v.5

In the interest of trying to be brief and to the point, here are the highlights of the past ~30 days:

• While I absolutely love the looks of the Aperion’s – and their sound, I am very analytical and felt that I really owed it to myself to really challenge the speakers. While driving 2 hours to the closest store to listen to the Revel’s and Studio’s at a store, I called Aperion about my concerns of running out of time for my in-home trial. Speaking with Michael, he assured me that if I needed some more time to not worry. He then went on to say “relax and enjoy the process of auditioning…don’t make it a stressful time – just enjoy”. Can you believe a salesperson saying that – while you’re on your way to listen to their competition! How refreshing (because I was truly stressing)!

• I ended up buying the B&W CM10’s from a local store – after negotiating that I must return them within 7 days if I’m going to return them. BTW, even Michael at Aperion acknowledged the likely mis-match – that the Towers would be better matched against the B&W 8 or 9’s.

• I had both the Verus Towers and the CM10’s set up in my 14 x 18 x 11 room. I quickly found that to my untrained ear it was very, very difficult to tell the difference. So, on day 6, I had my 12 year old son assist my wife and I for a blind test. We played 10 songs with my son switching the speaker wires ½ through each of the songs. While my wife and I voted differently, when the votes were tallied we both had 6 votes for the B&W CM10’s. HOWEVER, the CM10’s cost $2k each and they barely won.

• I believe a major contributor as to why the comparison was so close was the equipment I used to power them. After much research (and guidance from Aperion) I chose the Emotiva UMC-200 for the pre/pro coupled with their XPR-5 (with 200+ watts/each for 5 channels). Total cost <$1,400.

In summary:
• I’ve had the Towers now for 2 weeks – and don’t look back. I truly love their sound – and looks.
• I did return the Bravus II 12D sub. No real complaints, I decided to go with the SVS S2000. While certainly not as sharp looking, it had a smaller footprint with great sound.
• I am still anxiously waiting to get the Verus center – they are out of stock and I’m using the Forte until the Verus is available. I can’t wait!
• I’m temporarily using some old rear speakers, but intend to upgrade to the Verus Bookshelves shortly.
• Michael and Donavon have been truly amazing with their sincere honest guidance/advice. I cannot speak highly enough for how their assistance has helped…even when they knew I was comparing them head-to-head with some very stiff competition.
• If you are in the market for upgrading your system, you owe it to yourself to call Aperion to discuss options they offer that would meet your goals. There is no sales pressure, just good/honest guidance. They have the confidence in their products – without the attitude that I found at the B&W store.

Phenominal Design!
Aperion Allaire™ Zona® Home Audio Link System

Aperion Allaire™ Zona® Home Audio Link System

I've never done an internet review for any purchase.... ever.... until now.

My goal was to turn my entire home into musically-synced atmosphere from my full attic all the way down to the basement without having to run wires throughout the house or having to spend excessive money on wifi-linked and unpowerful speaker systems. I'd rather have control of my receivers and speakers specifically for each room and application. I had come across the Aperion Allaire Zona HAL system in a few forums and websites which all had very good things to say about it. Thought I'd give it a try. Only thing that scared me a little was the price and the uncertainty of them working as well as they sounded.

I first started with a sender and receiver pair about 1 year ago now and have slowly been building up the fleet! Initially I was blown away that they were so clear and never cut out; even through lathe and plaster walls and three hardwood floors. Was hooked and had to buy more! I currently have 2 senders and 4 receivers. I have a sender from zone 2 on my Yamaha receiver in the living room and one for the computer in the basement. My receiver has a built in amplifier that powers floor speakers in the dining room and a zone 2 stereo output which I connected a sender to. I have a receiver in the next room adjacent to the dining room, the kitchen. I have one upstairs in a bedroom, and one in the basement (which has also been in the attic at times).

They work well right next to your "typical" interference creating devices that I have had issues with in past with similar devices. I have one next to a microwave and two others right next to wireless routers on different levels of the house. Both senders work really well on different channels and all receivers connect well to either one with the press of a button. I never unplug any of them so they are all ready at any moment; I've never had any issues with that. I also have two roommates who have a ton of wireless electronics as well, never an issues with that either.

All speaker systems are synced extremely well. Between the systems with the Aperion receivers, those are spot on with each other. When comparing the direct analog speakers in the dining room with the speakers next to them in the kitchen, there is an extremely slight lag between these two systems. In fact I didn't really even notice it until maybe 2 months after having both playing. I have a picky ear and no one else has ever mentioned it to me. There are other devices out there that don't even come close to that, so I am extremely happy in that regard.

Never stop making them! Excellent product! (4/30/14)

The connection options are what really define the Aperion Allaire Bluetooth. These are do-it-all speakers for a wireless world where your CD player and your cell phone fight for favorites. These speakers are equally at home on an executive’s desk, or a college student's much less impressive desk. They can stay loud and clean up close and in smaller rooms, as long as you’re mindful of their placement to create as broad a sweet-spot as possible. Because of their versatility, I was able to find a usage scenario for them in almost every room of my house. I would recommend the Aperion Allaire Bluetooth to anyone looking for good sound with maximum connectivity in a small, simple package.

Digital Trends Editors' Choice for Allaire Bluetooth
Allaire Bluetooth

Allaire Bluetooth

"Aperion’s Allaire Bluetooth speakers offer the best of what used to be two disparate worlds: Hi-FI and wireless audio. Apart from being an excellent pint-sized musical companion, their host of connection options make them a great alternative to a sound bar or platform for supplementing the audio of your flat screen. But most importantly, the speakers handled everything we threw at them with balance and brilliance, making them a steal even at their $400 price point."

MyMac Reviews the Allaire ARIS
Allaire™ ARIS® Speaker System

Allaire™ ARIS® Speaker System

"Aperion Audio hits another home run with its innovative Allaire ARIS powerful one-piece speaker. The well-designed physical unit is heavy and loud, and the sound quality is impressive. If you have been shopping for a premium plug-in speaker that works either with an audio cable or Bluetooth wireless connection, stop looking and start listening to ARIS."

Audioholics Review the Allaire ARIS
Allaire™ ARIS® Speaker System

Allaire™ ARIS® Speaker System

"The body of the Allaire ARIS is one of the sharpest I’ve seen in a while. Featuring a single-piece black brushed aluminum body and a black cloth grille, the speaker itself sports a modern, intelligent look. One of the more notable strengths I discovered about the ARIS is its clarity at high volumes. This system gets loud…really loud. Reproducing crisp audio, paired with a sleek design, the ARIS would enhance most home decors."
