I mounted my new Verus Grand Bookshelf speakers onto this stand last weekend which didn’t work out as expected. The manual states to stop turning when the rubber feet of the speaker come in solid contact with the top plate. My experience was that the feet ripped off as soon as they touched the plate. I also tried the included speaker pads which were destroyed while trying to rotate the speaker onto the center mounting stud. Finally I used some furniture felt pads (1x1 inch) which solved the problem. However at this time I had already damaged the finish of my new speaker around the center bottom hole.
In addition to my assembling problems I would also like to say that I am not perfectly happy with the design of the stand in unison with the Verus Grand Bookshelf speakers. The top plate is slightly too big so that the left and right rear corner sticks out under the speaker.
Probably still a good value for the money if you use it for the Intimus 5B but I would not recommend it for the Verus Grand Bookshelf speakers.
Great stands!

I just got my stands in yesterday, and I have to say, these things are great. I was surprised at how heavy the base plate is. Easy to assemble, and my 5B's look fantastic on them. I rocked them back and forth to see how steady they were, and realized I don't need to worry about knocking them over! At first, I was worried that they wouldn't be high enough to be used for my surround speakers, but they seem to be just the right height. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again!
All the other reviews nailed it

Tough to add to what has already been said. High-quality construction, sturdy as all get-out, and made perfectly for my 5Bs.
The cable management was a little bit of a pain, particularly if you have big fingers, but that's a pretty nit-picky thing for an otherwise great product. If you're picking up a pair of 5Bs, get these stands. Particularly at this price point, you'd be unlikely to find a better option.
Perfect stand

Just received my two stands and they are better then I was expecting. Very well made and heavy. One bit of advice is to put your speaker wire through the stand before you build the stand. I used some needle nose pliers to get the wire out the top hole. After doing this it took me 3 minutes to put the stand together. Could not be any happier with this product.
5.1 Intimus system

I ordered 4 of these stands when I purchased the new Intimus Harmony system. I mounted my 5B's onto the top. The stands go together well, they are pretty heavy and have nice soft feet for my hardwood floors. It does take some time to adjust the speaker and stand so that the speaker wire holes are in the back and the speaker is facing the right way. All in all exactly what I expected and much better than having the rear speaker sitting on end tables. They tuck nicely away behind the couch and table...no problem
Decent Speaker Stands.

I picked up two of these stands to use with the 532-LR bookshelf speakers, which are being used for rear surrounds. They look great and were simple to assemble. You can also fill the column with shot or sand for extra weight, but you cannot run your speaker wire in the column if you do so. My biggest complaint with them is that is is difficult to thread the speaker on the top of the stand while ensuring it faces the right direction once it tightens. They tend to wobble a bit to, but this is a result of the carpet I am on as all of my speakers are a bit wobbly, even with floor spikes. In all, these are great, inexpensive stands that work well with the 535-LR.
