Intimus 422-LR Satellite Speaker

$90.00ea.
User Rating: Review this Product

Availability: Not available

Please Note: The Intimus 422 Satellite Speaker is no longer available and has been replaced by the Intimus 4B Satellite Speaker.

The Intimus 422 satellite speaker produces full-size sound and shocking midrange clarity at an incredibly affordable price. This is accomplished by pairing up the warm, natural sound of our 1” silk tweeter with our 4” mineral-filled polypropylene midrange in a small (yet hefty) cabinet. You can place these attractive speakers virtually anywhere, and combined with one of our powerful subwoofers they replace large intrusive speakers in smaller rooms.

Finally, a high-performance satellite speaker that is small, beautiful and affordable. The Intimus 422-LR is the perfect choice for your living room, bedroom or den and is an ideal surround speaker for use with all other Intimus series speakers. Never again compromise on sound quality and aesthetics.

Wide sound field in a small package. Excellent!

I've experiemented for quite some time trying to find the right size and balance for my rear surround speakers, but all were either too large, or small with horrible sound. Man am I glad I found these speakers. The entire experience leading up to their arrival to my house was a completely enjoyable experience, and the fit and finish of these speakers is amazing. They really do look more like furniture than a speaker, and I plan on making stands for them, but making them look as nice as the speakers themselves will be a challenge. The sound these little, but hefty 6lb speakers produce is astounding for their size and they produce a really natural and clear sound field. I had a hard time locating where the rear sound was coming from due to there excellent array of sound they produce. Watching Transformers today was exponentially better than is was in the past due to the great sound production from these speakers, and the entire experience has been a pleasure. I'm glad to be a new Aperion speaker owner, and I expect to include more speakers like these great 422's in the future. I'd say it's easily the best satellite speaker you can buy for $100.

These are running in a stereo setup in my bedroom off a Panasonic digital receiver. There is no downside to these speakers. They sound much bigger than their actual size and very easily disappear, leaving only a well-presented soundstage. Incredibly accurate and neutral the 422's could keep up with bookshelves twice their size. On top of their perfomance these things look beautiful! Gorgeous finish!

Surround sound immerses you in the music and movies like I had never experienced before. I have had people over say well now all you need is a popcorn machine cause this is better than going to the theater! Aperion was even nice enough to send me these A-stock speakers to borrow until my bipole/dipoles arrive which I am sure will be even more amazing.

422 T Satellite speakers rock.

On my modest budget for remodeling my great room I chose to purchase 4 satellite speakers to complete my surround sound system. Mixing my existing center and subwoofer speakers with another brand concerned me, however, my new 422-T satellites work very well indeed. They are surpassing my expectations in overall quality and compliment my system very well. I am indeed satisfied.

This is my first surround sound experience, and these speakers have made it a great one. I would highly recommend these to anyone but especially to those that are new to or nervous about speakers.

I am using a pair of the 422s for my rear channels of my 5.1 system. They sound great. The do what they are suppose to do: Look great, sound great and only cost $100. They would make great sounding front speakers in smaller or midsize rooms especially for surround sound movie watching. For cranking up the tunes you may want to go bigger.

Great little speakers...surprising sound!

I have four of these as my surrounds. Two on the side walls and two on the back wall. The speakers sit about 7.5 feet up angled down and slightly toward the center of the room vs straight at the listener. My theater is 14x19 w/9ft ceilings. The speakers are connected to an Outlaw Audio amp pushing 125 watts. Aperion's customer service was excellent (see my 533-VAC review), the packaging is definitely first-rate with the purple velvet bag, thick foam protection, and double cardboard box. Despite being small speakers, its tempting to take these off the walls and use them as office speakers! You can't beat the price for what you get.

I purchased the Intimus 422-LR as part of my 532 series Aperion Surround sound system. These speakers provide a great surround sound experience in a nice size. I also purchased the wall mounts from Aperion to mount these speakers in my family room. The combination looks and sounds great. I am a very satisfied Aperion customer.

The 422-LR Satellite Speakers fit right into my bookcase. Matched with the S8 Powered Subwoofer, they are perfect for my Panasonic 42" plasma and sound system. Their sound is outstanding. The finish is supurb. My wife requested small speakers for the house but was amazed at the sound the 422-LR produced.

Use 2 of these as surround speakers in a 12x15 room mated to a pioneer 80txv and they more than do the job - excellent!

Excellent Rear Surround Speaker

I bought these speaker to be the rear surround in my setup hoping it would match my old 500 series bookshelves and I have not been disappointed. This speaker has seamlessly integrated itself into my setup and sounds just as clean and crisp as its older siblings on high and midrange frequencies. Can't attest to lower frequencies as I have the crossover set at 120 Hz. I couldn't recommend this speaker more for anyone looking for an affordable, rear surround speaker.

Excellent rear channel speaker

I purchased a pair of these with the 533 VAC center. My front channels are Mirage M1si's, so I was very picky about quality of how I needed them to sound and fit in.

I figured with the free shipping and free 30 day in home - I'd give them a shot, especially after reading all the positive reviews.

I am very pleased with the quality in the workmanship. I have already recommended Aperion to everyone I know as one cannot beat the quality versus cost. These make very good rear channels and look killer to boot. Buy'em.
