Great System Even for a Bigger Room

I was sold from good professional reviews of Aperion products but the question was between the systems with the bigger 633 towers or this 533 Cinema system with the smaller towers. The help diagnosic Aperion offers was pointing me to the 6 series system due to the size of my room but two things made me hesitate. First, the 6 series towers are deep enough to perhaps be a bit too big for the space I have for tower placement. 2nd, they were on back order anyway. But I wanted to get the best sound, fill the room with surround for movies & multi channel music so why settle for the 533s? Well, due to Aperion's shipping, return and upgrade policies I decided to try this system with the smaller towers. I am glad I did because the 533 Cinema HD has great detail, the sub keeps up and must compensate for any possible base shortcomings because I really have no desire for more. And the room is completely filled with sound. Anyone doubting that the 533Ts won't fill your room, worry no longer unless you live at the local arena. My room is 15x19x9 with several open doorways in it and everything sounds terrific. The cherry finish looks great as well.

Prior to buying this system I had a Kenwood HTB, it served me well for a number of years. Then I found out about Aperion in Sound and Vision magazine. When I listened to this system for the first time all I could think of was how "smooth" it sounded. Thanks Aperion.

If you want the most bang for your dollar, any Aperion setup will fill the bill. My 7.1 cherry system is augmented by the 12 inch subwoofer and driven by an Onyko 803. Movies rock, music purrs, and the fit and finish fill the room with furniture grade beauty. Call and utilize the 30 day in-home risk free audition, you have nothing to lose and a great product to gain.

After having my speakers for a few months now it is apparent of the quality of speakers I now enjoy. I have had multiple comments on the look and sound of my theater room. The black finish really adds to the atmosphere with premium sound. It is difficult for me to visit an electronics retailer and hear their speakers without saying to myself I have a nicer sound. The movies and games are so much fun now. The rumble of subwoofer has added a whole new dimension to the experience. Ever played xbox360 with actually feeling the booms? I enjoy this every time I watch or play a game... music also sounds wonderful. Love the system.

It's wonderful

I purchased Intimus 533 speaker system 4 months ago. I am very happy and satisfied from the performance. Before purchasing Aperion I tried equivalent Vienna Acoustic speakers and found that for half the price Aperion system is very much comparable except for Center speaker. Vienna center speaker is slightly better than Aperion but I am paying half the price. I will recommend Intimus 533 to any one.

Better Than I Even Expected!

When we were creating a family room out of our old garage, I took advantage of the opportunity to order a new set of speakers to go along with our new big screen tv.

After doing a little research on the web, I discovered Aperion. Well, I was impressed and bought a 7.1 system but the construction got delayed, so I didn't get to open the boxes and check them out until almost 6 months later.

System sounded great but I was surprised that the bass wasn't as strong as I had expected... turns out the sub woofer had a problem. Bad News? No, because I got a chance to check out the customer service. It's flat out great! The folks who took my call got on the case immediately and took care of everything. Now I have to dial the bass back so as not to rock the entire house.

Great Service. Great Product. Great People to deal with and a terrific price for what you get. How can you go wrong? Just a word to the wise. Unless you have a huge room or are crazy for bass...get the smaller sub woofer. They are unbelievably powerful.

Well worth it

After two years of house designing and building, waiting for the day to finish the Media room, I am happy to say I bought the very best in home theater sound. My room is 15x20 and this was a perfect match for it, I have 6.1 sound and it's awesome powered by the Denon 2808. in fact I get told to turn it down cause it shakes the whole house and disturbs Her watching tv in another room of the house...

I also find myself listening to music again which is very nicely heard from these speakers

After two days of playing these speakers the boxes went into the trash As I knew I would not be sending them back...

Way to go guys! Great product at a very good price..

Some of the best sounding speakers I've ever heard...

I did a large amount of research before deciding on my new home theater system. I read hundreds of reviews for various Speaker companies, A/V receiver companies, HD-DVD/Blu-Ray players and HDTV's. I went to several audio/video stores and sampled as many products as i could.

I read numerous reviews concerning Aperion and how much everyone that has ever heard their speakers loved them. At first i was a little hesitant to purchase speakers online without ever having had heard them, but with the 30-day in home audition I figured I might as well give them a shot. As you will read below, it wasn't a mistake.

In concerns of these speakers - When they arrived I was very impressed with the packing job - one of the boxes did have some damage but because they pack these beauties in a "box in a box" with foam inbetween, the internal box had no damage. opening the speaker box you'll find the speaker nice and snuggly fitted in the box, wrapped in velvet/silk covers. The speakers are very well made and the Black finish was beautiful. So needless to say I was excited to plug these in and see what they sounded like.

I kept reading and hearing from people that Denon was the way to go for the A/V receiver but after comparing prices, features and listening to several A/V receivers in person, i was impressed by the cost/feature/performance ratio of the Yamaha RX-V3800BL and decided upon that. As of this review I have not received my TV yet (Sharp AQUOS® LC-52D92U LCD - the new 4ms, 120hz, 15000:1 contrast ratio LCD TV), so I cannot comment on the video aspects of the receiver, but I did plug the HD-DVD player (Toshiba HD-A30 1080p HD-DVD Player) into the Yamaha receiver, wired up the speakers and powered everything on.

I decided to test the speakers using a large variety of music. The sound was amazing on everything i tried. The sound was the clearest I've ever heard on a home theater system (in home system). While the bass was literally thumping throughout my body and shaking the walls, it never once over powered the mids and highs. Voices were crystal clear anywhere in the room. Sounds blended nearly perfectly together to the point it was extremely difficult to impossible to tell specifically where the sound was coming from, which to me is a sign of a very good A/V receiver/speaker setup.

The Yamaha A/V receiver, like many mid to high range receivers, does the sound volume using - to + Db settings(This receiver ranges from -60db to +20db), having the volume set to around -20db which is around 1/2 way up to max volume, the speakers were loader than anything I could actually stand and still the speakers sounded fantastic, no distortion, everything was clear and sounded clean. I pumped it up to about +10 Db but by that point, pictures started falling off the walls. but needless to say, the speakers still sounded great, still no distortion from the speakers themselves (Just the stuff falling off the walls *smile*).

I also tried all the music at reasonable volumes (-45db to -25db) to see what it sound

top notch

This system is fantastic. I upgraded to the 633 front towers and was not disappointed. The imaging is superb and the sub is quite powerful. I feel as though I have not yet experienced the full power of the system yet. My wife seems to think that semi-cranked is quite loud enough thus far! I am impressed with every facet of my Aperion experience!
