I have been using the Intimus 533-PT Cinema HD with KLX powered subwoofer model #KSUB10 hooked to an Oykoyo 803 for about nine months. I am amazed at the quality of the sound. My friends, one is radio disc jockey, are also impressed. I am using an HDTV, I-pod, HDDVD, & Blu-Ray all work and sound great with this speaker system. I have played all kinds of music and many movies, this sound system is UNREAL. Service is outstanding, I called to buy more stuff, no problems with the system. The appearance and quality is unsurpassed. I spent countless hours trying to pick the right speaker system for me, even bought a more expensive speaker system and returned it.

If you can buy this system please do. I am buying two more speakers to go from 5.1 to 7.1, I can't wait!!

These are fine speakers with a beautiful finish, superb bass tones and great surround imagery. The price cannot be beat. I am a little disappointed with the high tones being a little dull and tinny. High cymbal sounds for example, do not come out very realistic. These speakers are great for movies but not so great for music.

My viewing/listening space is medium sized and placing this system in the room has had me in a total "WOW" mode ever since the day I received it. I am not an audio expert, but I do know quality when I see/hear it. Whether its live TV or a DVD, the sounds coming from this system put you "right there" in the middle of the action. The highs are crisp and the lows fill the room with their presence. It is scary just how realistic these speakers can be - I have actually muted them occasionally because I thought I heard something going on outside my home. Now that's realism!! And beyond the sound, the aesthetic beauty of these speakers makes them a pleasing addition to the room. They are not overpowering in that regard. I am, without question, impressed with the Aperion system and could not be more pleased with my purchase.

I originally was going to have a home theater specialist install a speaker system he'd recommended, but after finding out about Aperion, I figured I'd give it a try...how can you go wrong with a 30 day in home trial and free shipping back if you don't like it? I purchased this system a few months ago, and paired it with a new 58" plasma. The result was fantastic! The speakers deliver excellent sound for the home theater experience. They're also great for just listening to music. I am so glad I went the Aperion route. Not only is the sound fantastic, but I saved about $4,000!! P.S. The customer service and follow up care are unparalleled!

Wow, my movies never sounded better. I didn't know what I was missing until I swapped in this system for my older Bose. I went with the 7.1 and my new Pioneer Elite VSX-94TXH does a fine job decoding my BD and HD movie soundtracks to realistic 7.1 effects. The center channel is my favorite because the voice clarity is great! The dipole work fantastic for movies, and the bipole is great for music streamed from my computer.

To assess the vertical array's wide-dispersion capabilities, we played test discs' "pink noise" tracks and determined that yes, the Aperion Intimus 533-VAC's performance claims were valid. The speaker's tonal balance was unaffected by our position on our couch. The rated 80Hz bass response is more full range than typical center speakers, ensuring that dialogue is always full bodied and natural. Two-way center speakers can sometimes sound boxy or closed in, but the 533-VAC's sound was fully open. Best of all, the well-endowed speaker proved itself a synergistic match with even the largest Aperion speakers that we had on hand, namely the 633-Ttowers, and still mated well with the smaller 632-LR bookshelfspeakers. It's truly an exceptional design.

Used on their own as stereo speakers or as part of a complete home-theater speaker system, the Aperion Intimus 533-PTs are highly recommended. You can spend a lot more for a pair of speakers, yet get a lot less.

The powered side-firing subwoofer is an absolute wonderful match for an already fine sounding two-way tower. With attention to such little details as the brass spikes and beautiful cherry veneer, it is no wonder that Aperion has garnered such consistent praise.
