I use a single In Ceiling Speaker as my back speaker in a 6.1 home theater speaker arrangement. It is very satisfactory for its limited function. I appreciate Aperion's honest advise.

We got our basement completed in the recent past and installed full fledged home theater with plasma TV and HD receiver and 7.1 sound system installed. All the audio components are APERION products. I read the reviews on CNET prior to purchasing. I had never heard of these guys before. So I started to research and evaluate the brand, I had chats, emails, phone conversations going with the customer reps. The customer service reps were consistent and knowledgeable and this gave me a lot of confidence.The products are of very good quality and the sound effects are excellent. I have installed FOUR Intimus 632 In Ceiling speakers. So far I have not got any distortion.

I have a family room that like many family rooms has a situation where you have to have the TV pretty close to the couch (7'). If you want surround sound, you would have to move the couch even closer which would be too close. Therefore, I figured I'd try the Ceiling speakers for the rear since there is a 30 day guarantee, and I found that they are perfect. I get better surround than the movie theater. Aimable tweeters are awesome. There is also Bass and treble modifications you can make based on the speaker's position in the room.

I heard about Aperion from a friend at work and have had my eye on them for some time. Before purchasing I called several times and talked to the folks at Aperion. I have to say, that they were so very helpful in helping me select speakers and answering all my questions. I couldn't be happier with the speakers or the company itself. I was looking for in ceiling and had compared several different brands a local audio shops before ordering these. They sound better than any that I have heard. As others have mentioned, insulation backing helps in the sound. Also, after my system did its automated setup, I needed to go in and increase the output to really get the sound I was looking for. However, once I got them adjusted, I couldn't believe how great they sounded.

These sound great and have really completed my set up. They were easy to install and you can't tell the difference from the home audio zone speakers that were professionally installed by the builder. I was initially worried about the 6" driver not being able to do the job but hey have exceeded my expectations.

The 632-IC's round out my theater/music system services and rear surrounds in my 5.1 system. No matter how good the center channel, the left/rights and the subwoofer, the listening experience is radically incomplete without the rear speakers.

I wanted to install install surrounds without stands on the floor, speakers on the shelves or hanging down from the ceiling, no visible wires, etc. My desires made the 632-IC's the proper choice. Sure, the installation requires a little more effort....climbing in the attic, pulling wires and such. But, the effort pays off. My 632-IC look great and the install was easy to make it look like a professional install. The 632's installed just as described and all worked according the plans and expectations.

The 632's sound great. Musically, they add great all-speaker stereo balance to my larger than average listening room. For movies, especially those with great sound tracks, the 632's really bring you into the action.

I am very happy with the performance and value of these speakers. I definitely would purchase them again.

Truly exceptional sounding speakers given their low cost. The electronics for my home system consist of high end separates, and I'm using these as the surrounds for our main listening room, and for our remote zone speakers for our dining room. VERY surprised by their clarity and smoothness compared to in-ceiling speakers twice their cost. Just can't give up my big towers and center channel at this point. If they could just add 8" drivers to the repertoire in the future... Big kudos for these though.

I have had my speakers installed now for a couple months, and I could not be happier with them. Not only do they look great, the sound is incredible even at very high volumes.

I use these as the surround speakers in my home theater setup (632s, 634, S-12) and they look and sound great.

I have a strange shaped room to deal with, and these allowed me to get quality surround sound without resorting to small satellites. The best part is that these things disappear into the ceiling.

Installation tip - make sure you either use a foam enclosure or stuff some insulation the ceiling behind these speakers. It's a small thing that makes a difference in terms of base output.

I keep looking behind me to see where the sound is coming from!! Easy install too!

I owned / installed many different in walls and for the $ these speakers can't be beat. Aperion's service is top notch too

I added a pair of these speakers to my home theater (will probably be adding two more or additional presence) and have been very pleased. I spray painted the grill and surrounds black and they completely blend in with my black ceiling. They are nearly invivisble but the sound that comes from them is incredible. I was apprehensive about going with the "In-wall" and "In-ceiling" speakers but knew there was no going back once I started cutting holes. I don't think I have ever made such a good decision. I wanted a clean, uncluttered look (I think it would be great for Aperion to provide a gallery to show what customers have done with their speakers) and have got that and don't feel I lost anything with regards to sound quality. I am using them with five other 632-IW speakers and one S-12 subwoofer all running off a Denon 2807 amp. It is very impressive to demo this system and to have family and friends wonder where all that great sound is coming from.

I have 2 pairs: one as rear channels for surround sound, the other pair outside on the back deck. They work seamlessly as surrounds, and sound great outside.
