Completed the set -- Well worth it

I was stuck between choosing a 60" plasma, or a new sound system. At first I attempted to compromise, purchasing a pair of the 633-T's and the S12 sub. Within a week I had ordered the center channel and the 2 surronds to complete this set. I've had many friends over to party, and even though I'm watching movies on my 22" samsung LCD monitor, everyone is absolutely in awe of the sound quality from the aperions. We have concluded that the sound quality makes the movie so much 'bigger' than a 60" plasma would. THX movies have now become my favorite -- I could care less if I've seen episode 6 about 100 times, the speed-racer chase through the woods NEVER gets old now.

I admit, I also replay the THX intro 5 times before actually starting any THX movie.

I have yet to find a source for DVD-audio discs, but I have the reciever and computer+sound card ready for some. Listening to MP3 files on these speakers should be a crime -- I seriously can not listen to MP3's anymore. WAV files are alright, but you can just tell they should sound so much better. Movies seem to be the best, and you can really tell when they changed the type of microphone, or angle of the microphone, when they recorded the movie - Yes, the sound is that accurate.

If I had to pick a favorite speaker out of the lot, the center channel would by far be my pick. If nothing else, buy this center channel and give it the free test drive. I highly doubt you will send that center channel back. You will only purchase more.

Best System I've ever had

For 30 years, I have enjoyed decent stereo equipment. We have installed in-wall speakers for whole home audio and HT wiring in our last 4 homes. When it came to purchasing equipment for the dedicated Home Theater (24'x32' wth tiered seating) in our current home, I decided to take another step up with a "higher end" sound system.

I investigated many speakers and equipment options. CNET highly rated the Aperion product line and so I decided to check them out more closely. The company vision was closely aligned with my personal values. I wanted the best sound I could get within a price range that wouldn't break the bank.

So, the Intimus 6 system seemed like a good fit and I decided I didn't have much to risk with their easy return policy/guarantee. That being said, there was no chance that they were going to be returned. I'm so happy with my purchase. Clear, crisp sound and booming base driven by a nice Denon receiver (model 2807).

As a a high-end custom home builder, I have had the opportunity to see and hear quite a few systems. My low voltage vendor/subcontractor was naturally disappointed that I didn't buy the speakers from them because they know that my clients will often want to buy/install what I have bought for my own home. That being said, my subcontractor loved my completed system and wanted to know if they could become a distributor for Aperion.

When they realized that Aperion only sold "direct" online, they shifted gears and suggested that I tell people to expect to pay $6,000+ on the speakers to get a comparable system (rather than the $3,000 or so I spent). Well, that isn't going to happen. I recommend Aperion Audio to my clients.

The bottom line is that I could spend $10,000+ more on a set of speakers, but the incremental sound quality would be virtually undetectable or immeasurable to me. So why spend more? Aperion was the perfect fit for me and I am very pleased. Thanks!
