Comments: All three of those words describe the sound these speakers are capable of. What you are getting for you money is a no-nonsense cabinet loaded with high quality (but no frills) drivers and crossovers developed by people with good ears and not just 3 PhDs. Their looks aren't over the top with a tri-axial floating tweeter dome designed to apply a lorentz transformation to the soundwave coming off the tweeter so it sounds 'more pure' to the ear, but thankfully the price reflects that sentiment as well.

Your hard earned money goes fully and completely into making these speakers sonically transparent. Yes, they still look good, but hook them up to a clean source and play some reference material with lossless compression and you'll see what I mean. They have shown an uncanny ability to present a wide and natural sounding soundstage even in my (quite) less then ideal listening arrangement, and they effortlessly expose nuances to the recordings that I was missing with my Klipsch setup.

They aren't bass monsters (although they have plenty of respectable extension in the lower registers) if they don't have ample power, but even with a modest 110w they do an excellent job of reproducing a convincing kick drum from Jon Theodore of The Mars Volta. The tweeters and woofers are integrated seamlessly in the crossover; they just allow the individual components to disappear into one completely natural sounding package.

It took a few days of listening to appreciate how good these speakers sound, but now that I'm past the break in period and have put over a month on them, I have to say I'm thrilled with my purchase and will be back to Aperion on the future.

Excellent Towers

Comments: I have had these towers and all I can say is they are "Awesome", I have them as fronts for my 7 speaker Aperion HT setup. I mostly watch movies 70%, music 30%. What clarity, and you can drive these speakers hard and they will not lose anything, they will still sound crisp and clear. I switch between 2 channel and 7 channel speaker with music and I must say that when I listen to 2 channel stereo with the sub off these towers will "envelope" the room with awsome sound. They do fill a large size room with awesome sound-seems like the sound is everywhere. You cannot tell they are just coming from the towers. Anyone wanting excellent speakers check out the Aperions, I am sure glad I did.

Sound is clear and pure

Comments: I can't find words to express my astonishment that the 6T brought for movies (in pair with the 10D). Although I listen to Heavy, Alternative and Rock music, I don't feel the Bass in my stomach as much as I want. But these 6T made me hear sounds I never heard in songs. Thanks to the great Aperion sonority. The reviews weren't lying... It's also really fun to see the face expression of friends coming over hearing their favorite song (whatever genre they ask for) on the 6T... Aperion Rocks.. Eric, Montreal, Canada

Excellent speakers

Comments: I received a pair of the 6T's a month ago and they are absolutely fantastic. The quality of the build is very nice. I could use the piano black finish as a mirror for sahving if I wanted to! There was a minor issue with the metal inserts used for support on one of them, but Aperion promptly corrected the issue without any hassle. I'm looking forward to purchasing my center channel and surrounds from Aperion.

Yet another glowing review

Comments: I've been using a pair of 6Ts by themselves with an Onkyo 606 for about a month now. Use has been about even between music, movies, and TV.

They look great, with a smaller visual footprint than I imagined because the width is smaller than the depth and it's really the width that you notice (read: your wife notices).

The sound is great as well. My main concern, based on reviews, was that they may be a bit bright. I love my Grado SR80 headphones, but they can bite a tad on bright recordings. The 6Ts are much better in this regard, so anyone who likes the sound of Grados needn't concerned about brightness. Bass extension is good enough that I have no desire for a sub.

Aperion's gurus have been quite helpful.

Sounds like live

Comments: Been listening to these speakers for 3 weeks now. They are dedicated to a stereo system only, and I'm driving them with 135 Watts RMS. The highs are incredible; the mid-range is stunning. The base is the weakest link, but quite adequate. If I felt the need, I could always add a sub, there is no need, really.

Listen to Whitney Houston sing "I'll Always Love You." You can hear her breath between lines! Listen to any piano recital and you'll swear there's a live piano in the room. I have mine balanced perfectly. The depth reaches behind the speakers to in back of the listener. The width is wall to wall, and the center image is spot on in the middle, with a singer's voice appearing to come from somewhere in between the two speakers.

Fit and finish (mine are cherry) is fine furniture grade, and customer support is second to none.

Intimus 6T Tower Speakers

Comments: I have been playing these speakers for over two weeks now and they are more than adequate with all the films that i am viewing. They have more breadth than depth in their sounds so far. They fill my room but do not delineate all of the sounds. They are not as precise as other speakers that I have played when I listen to just music. I played them in contrast to the much more expensive Vienna Acoustic Baby Grands which seemed to perform in a manner that was more polished but lacked the kinesthetic oomph of the 6T speakers. This review is admittedly just my first impressions and I am reserving a rain check to contradict myself after listening for a lot longer.

Amended Review

Comments: I am Barry Tellman and previously reviewed these speakers and gave them 3 stars after listening to them for only two weeks. They have grown on me over this past month and have demonstrated a quality that is both exquisitely nuanced and broad in taking me inside of the sound of both video and audio productions that rival most concert settings.

Blow my Polk's out of living room...

Comments: Hi Just got my 6T tower's yesterday and have to say my Polks will be in my backroom from here on.

I first played Our Prayer from Brian Wilsons Smile cd. And what a difference. Then had to put in some RUSH R 30 dvd. went straight to the Neil Pert drum solo and my room came alive.

Well i will add more feedback after my towers break in. I am a very happy camper so far.

Great speakers at a great price... Rock on Aperion

Excellent Upgrade

Comments: Just before the new line of speakers came I had bought 533T and was very happy with them. But when I heard about the new line I called Aperion to see if they'd upgrade me and sure they did. Their customer service is world class - just like their speakers. I have the new 6Ts Piano Black and the 2.1 music is awesome. These speakers go down so much that I don't use my Bravus 10D. The soundstage is wide with amazing clarity. Thank you Aperion for making great speakers.
