    Novus Speaker Features

New One-inch, German Natural Fiber-Silk Dome, Ferro-Fluid Cooled Tweeter

After searching the world for the finest of silk, we stumbled upon a natural fiber from Germany and couldn’t resist integrating it into the tweeter dome of the new Novus speaker family. Each Novus speaker is embedded with our new tweeter – a high-end natural fiber dome membrane which utilizes a neodymium motor and ferrofluid cooled voicecoil to help give these tweeters a flat frequency response that can extend up to 30 kHz. These design specs, in combination of Aperion engineering knowledge and 20 years of experience has allowed us to create a tweeter so clear, that your ears can listen to music and dialog with ease.

New 5.25" Aramid-Fiber Cone Active and Passive Woofer, and 4" Aramid-Fiber Cone Mid-Woofer

A tweeter may be the “highlight” of the speaker, but a strong combination of woofers can prove to be the true foundation of a speaker. The Novus center channel speaker utilizes myriad of our new aramid-fiber woofer cones to bring forth a full range of sound. It features a unique tooled rubber surround to conceal the mounting screws in each speaker. The 5.25” active woofer with a long-throw linear excursion design makes for a broad dynamic range and low distortion. The 4” mid-woofer is fit to execute dialog performance so great, that you’ll become a part of the action. The 5.25” passive woofer greatly improves bass by exploiting energy from the rear of the active woofer and also prevents lobing and enables a broader sweet spot.

    Tweeter Adjustment

The Novus Tower and Bookshelf both come with a Tweeter Adjustment feature. This feature is designed to help the Novus speakers perform optimally within a variety of different listening environments as well as to accommodate listener preferences. We always encourage you to try the speaker with both settings so that you can find the sound that pleases you most! It also serves as a room correction feature for people with “live” sounding rooms with many reflective surfaces. Choose either the standard voicing for crisp, clear treble, or the -3 dB setting for a more mellow treble response.

Slotted Reflex Port and Sloping Baffle

The sloping front baffle design creates an even phase alignment between treble and bass drivers. Unlike the Boötes void, a porthole can enhance the bass performance of many speaker cabinets. In the case of the Novus, we went with a slotted reflex port design. This front ported design reduces air-leak noise and increases the bass performance throughout the room, so sit back and enjoy those bass vibrations.

Uniquely Modern Cabinet Design and Acoustically Transparent Lightweight Magnetic Grilles

Our design team kept aesthetics at the top of mind while designing our Novus family. Whether you have a dedicated black-out home theater room, or an open sunshine filled family room, the Stealth Black and Pure White painting are sure to be endorsed your other furniture. The sleek curved top cabinet radius is a step away from your traditional “box-style” speaker, which contribute a smooth look in your room. To protect the speaker innards from accidents, pets, or curious fingers, the Novus line sports a lightweight magnetic grille, which can easily be removed when it’s time to show off the goods to your friends and family.

    Wall & Ceiling Mounting

You can mount your speakers wherever you want -- out of the way and outside the reach of inquisitive children and pets. All bookshelf and satellite speakers come with dual 1/4"-20 threaded inserts on the back for ceiling or wall mounting. Industry standard spacing of 60mm on these inserts means they’ll work with a variety of wall and ceiling mount brands.

    Bravus II 12D Subwoofer Features

Single Active & Dual 12" Passive High-Excursion Custom Aluminum Drivers
We designed Bravus with three custom aluminum drivers for efficient high-performance. One part rigid precision, one part low bass extension - shake well with a healthy helping of linearity, and you're left with three drivers to take your music and movies to new depths. Aluminum offers the perfect blend of strength and mass to keep the Class D digital amp operating efficiently. Couple this with a heavy duty rubber surround and a precision motor structure and you get bass that is deep and linear. To make things even better, we packed three drivers in a small gorgeous enclosure so your Bravus 12" sub offers the performance of a larger sub but takes up less space.

    650 Watt Class D Amplifier
All of the Bravus II subwoofers use an efficient high power class D amplifier with a high current switching power supply. This allows maximum performance output and deep bass authority while maintaining the musical accuracy and detail you expect from Aperion Audio.

Detachable Power Cord w/ Switchable Voltage
We make it easy to upgrade your cord or take your subwoofer on the road. No matter if you're in Los Angeles or Lisbon, you can easily switch between 110V and 220V power. Just plug in the correct cord, switch the voltage and enjoy. One caveat, though -- We're not responsible for international noise ordinances, so tread carefully and bring bribe money.

    Line Level Inputs
Every Aperion subwoofer comes standard with an LFE line level input that connects to any receiver’s subwoofer pre-out. Or, if you don't have a sub-out connection, use the left and right low level inputs with the low level outputs from your pre-amp or receiver.

    High Level Inputs
Hook your new subwoofer up to any receiver or amplifier! If you don’t have a sub-out connection on your receiver, you can use the left and right speaker outputs to make setup a snap.

Internally Braced 1" HDF Sealed Enclosure
Powerful bass needs a sturdy cabinet. Every Bravus 12D subwoofer is built out of strong 1" HDF and internally braced to reduce cabinet vibration to nearly nothing.

    Timeless Design & Furniture-Grade Finish
Each of our Bravus subwoofers features a timeless design aesthetic and is beautifully finished in high gloss piano black lacquer, allowing them to effortlessly blend into your decor. This first-rate cabinetry unites the acoustic qualities of only the most expensive subwoofers with a furniture-grade finish so handsome your coffee table will be jealous.

    Leveling Floor Spikes and Footers
Included with each Bravus subwoofer is a set of metal floor spikes with footers and a set of rubber feet. Use the metal spikes on carpet for tighter bass by decoupling the sub from the floor. If you have hard floors, use the footers with your metal spikes or use the included rubber feet to improve bass response and protect your surfaces from scratches or dents.

    Acoustically Transparent Grille
Nothing stands between you and your sound. We designed a sonically invisible grille that not only looks great, but also protects your precious woofers from curious fingers, claws or snouts.
