Verus III Grand Bookshelf Speaker Pair
Take the novel sonic design and classic cabinetry of our Verus III Grand Tower speaker, then condense it to produce a bookshelf speaker that knocks your socks off. Now that you're barefoot, you might as well sit back and let your ears and eyes delight in the Verus III Grand Bookshelf. This speaker employs our Axially Stabilized Radiator™ V2 silk dome tweeter to bring in the shimmering high frequencies, and our 5" midrange driver with aluminum phase plug to round out the sound. With gorgeous curved cabinets finished in either gloss cherry wood veneer or gloss piano black, the Verus III Grand Bookshelf is sure to swivel heads for both its stunning sound and looks. The Verus III Grand Bookshelf handles movies and music effortlessly, with a flat frequency response and imaging that keeps you in the middle of the action. Perfect for use as front speakers in a small home theater or as surround speakers in a larger home entertainment room, the Verus III Grand Bookshelf will bring your music, movies and games to life, all at a price that matches the size. And if you're worried about your missing socks, we'll throw in a pair.

    Patented ASR Tweeter

Our design objectives required a tweeter that permits a low crossover frequency in order to unburden the midrange cones above 2.6 kHz, where they tend to beam. To address this conundrum, we went to the drawing board with the goal of developing a tweeter with a diaphragm that resists “rocking” near its resonant frequency. By pinning the diaphragm’s center in a plane above the voice coil, it became “axially stabilized,” which minimized unwanted distortion. The silk dome is coated in a specially developed damping compound to ensure a smooth and accurate response with controlled resonance. A refined "wishbone" waveguide has resulted in better output, with more uniform frequency response and dispersion across its operating range. The ferrofluid cooled voice-coil is driven by a high-energy ferrite magnet motor.

5.25" Kevlar Woofer With Aluminum Phase Plug

All woofers in the Verus family employ Kevlar cones. This exceptionally rigid Kevlar material allows for a warm, clean and dynamic response. This is driven by a high-performance ferrite magnet structure with a vented pole piece to reduce heat build-up and larger T-toke for increased excursion to increase bass response. Between the upgraded driver performance, and the new larger bent port tube design, we were able to crank that much more bass through this compact design, allowing your sound stage to feel more spacious and full than ever before.

    Advanced Crossover

Time-intensive iterative designing and fine-tuning of the crossover networks have resulted in a smoother, more neutral, and better balanced frequency response across the whole range. Enhanced phase integration between the tweeter and midrange drivers have also resulted in a cleaner, more open sound in the transition region. The Verus III employs superior customized components, which include high quality thin film capacitors to provide minimum dielectric loss, customized Aperion internal wiring with spade connectors to make upgrading a breeze, and we even went as far as customizing the PCB board with an Aperion red color to represent our love of great sounding audio!
    Treble Mod

The Treble Mod feature allows users to reduce
the treble response by 3 dB. This serves as a
room correction feature for people with “live”
rooms that have a large amount of reflective surfaces.

Verus III Grand Bookshelf Speaker Features

Patented One-inch Aperion Axially Stabilized Radiator

We engineered the silk dome ASR to handle frequencies beneath most tweeters. Now the mid-high frequencies emit the same crystalline tones as their counterparts in the penthouse. From the pluck of a violin string to the screech of tires, the result is pure, authentic sound.

5.25" Kevlar Woofer with Aluminum Phase Plug

Using a woofer with an aluminum phase plug increases the Verus line’s power handling and dynamic range, filling the middle of the sonic spectrum. By recreating the full harmonics of a singer’s voice, the Verus Grand speakers produce vocals as rich as the Rockefellers.

    Furniture-Grade Finish

The slim curves of the Verus line’s first-rate cabinetry make us think "supermodel"—but the primo acoustic qualities means she'd have to sound as good as she looks. The finishing touch for every Verus speaker is a high-gloss cherry-wood veneer or piano-black lacquer that’s so right for every décor, your coffee table will be jealous.

    5-way gold-plated binding posts

Bi-ampable is the techie way of saying you can connect one amplifier to the woofer and the other to the tweeter. Separating the low- and high-frequency wiring helps eliminate interaction, isolate power and reduce distortion.

The 5-way gold-plated binding posts let you connect your speakers any which way you choose: bare wire, banana plugs, spades, round pins or flat pins. Not only does the gold plating give your system some bling, it also serves a more practical purpose: to resist corrosion and provide the best possible connection to your receiver.

    Lightweight Magnetic Grilles

To protect the speaker innards from accidents, pets or curious fingers, the entire Verus line sports a lightweight magnetic grille which can easily be removed when you want to show off your beautiful speakers to friends and family.

    Wall & Ceiling Mounting

You can mount your speakers wherever you want -- out of the way and outside the reach of inquisitive children and pets. All bookshelf and satellite speakers come with dual 1/4"-20 threaded inserts on the back for ceiling or wall mounting. Industry standard spacing of 60mm on these inserts means they’ll work with a variety of wall and ceiling mount brands.

Verus III Grand Center Channel Features

Patented One-inch Aperion Axially Stabilized Radiator™

We engineered the silk dome ASR to handle frequencies beneath most tweeters. Now the mid-high frequencies emit the same crystalline tones as their counterparts in the penthouse. From the pluck of a violin string to the screech of tires, the result is pure, authentic sound.

    Two 6.5" Kevlar Woofers

The strength of Kevlar gives our woofers a trio of advantages: even dispersion, enhanced acoustics and bulletproof reliability. Add extra-long voice coils to decrease distortion and you’ve got the low bass you love. With woofers powerful enough to drive all but bottom-feeding frequencies without a dedicated subwoofer, you’ll find Verus’ bass response truly earth-shaking.

One 4" Kevlar Midrange Driver with Aluminum Phase Plug

The midrange driver with aluminum phase plug increases the Verus line’s power handling and dynamic range, filling the middle of the sonic spectrum. By recreating the full harmonics of a singer’s voice, the Verus Grand speakers produce vocals as rich as the Rockefellers.

    VoiceRight™ Technology

Subtle nuances in detail make all the difference between a "good home theater" and an "amazing theater experience". The Verus Grand Center employs VoiceRight™ technology that compensates for the effects of reflected sound off of large screen TVs and cabinetry. This allows you to place the Grand Center where it fits your room. Just set it down, flip the switch to compensate for the nuances of your rooms, and have a "you ARE there" experience.

    Vertical Array Design

We engineered our vertical array center to provide flawless center channel performance no matter where you're sitting in the room. Our vertical array design makes every seat in the house perfect, so every member of your family can enjoy the crisp, clear dialog and sound without having to rock-paper-scissors over who’s sitting in the center of the couch.

Bravus II 12D 650W Class D Powered Subwoofer Features

Single Active & Dual 12" Passive High-Excursion Custom Aluminum Drivers
We designed Bravus with three custom aluminum drivers for efficient high-performance. One part rigid precision, one part low bass extension - shake well with a healthy helping of linearity, and you're left with three drivers to take your music and movies to new depths. Aluminum offers the perfect blend of strength and mass to keep the Class D digital amp operating efficiently. Couple this with a heavy duty rubber surround and a precision motor structure and you get bass that is deep and linear. To make things even better, we packed three drivers in a small gorgeous enclosure so your Bravus 12" sub offers the performance of a larger sub but takes up less space.

    650 Watt Class D Amplifier
All of the Bravus II subwoofers use an efficient high power class D amplifier with a high current switching power supply. This allows maximum performance output and deep bass authority while maintaining the musical accuracy and detail you expect from Aperion Audio.

Detachable Power Cord w/ Switchable Voltage
We make it easy to upgrade your cord or take your subwoofer on the road. No matter if you're in Los Angeles or Lisbon, you can easily switch between 110V and 220V power. Just plug in the correct cord, switch the voltage and enjoy. One caveat, though -- We're not responsible for international noise ordinances, so tread carefully and bring bribe money.

    Line Level Inputs
Every Aperion subwoofer comes standard with an LFE line level input that connects to any receiver’s subwoofer pre-out. Or, if you don't have a sub-out connection, use the left and right low level inputs with the low level outputs from your pre-amp or receiver.

    High Level Inputs
Hook your new subwoofer up to any receiver or amplifier! If you don’t have a sub-out connection on your receiver, you can use the left and right speaker outputs to make setup a snap.

Internally Braced 1" HDF Sealed Enclosure
Powerful bass needs a sturdy cabinet. Every Bravus 12D subwoofer is built out of strong 1" HDF and internally braced to reduce cabinet vibration to nearly nothing.

    Timeless Design & Furniture-Grade Finish
Each of our Bravus subwoofers features a timeless design aesthetic and is beautifully finished in high gloss piano black lacquer, allowing them to effortlessly blend into your decor. This first-rate cabinetry unites the acoustic qualities of only the most expensive subwoofers with a furniture-grade finish so handsome your coffee table will be jealous.

    Leveling Floor Spikes and Footers
Included with each Bravus subwoofer is a set of metal floor spikes with footers and a set of rubber feet. Use the metal spikes on carpet for tighter bass by decoupling the sub from the floor. If you have hard floors, use the footers with your metal spikes or use the included rubber feet to improve bass response and protect your surfaces from scratches or dents.

    Acoustically Transparent Grille
Nothing stands between you and your sound. We designed a sonically invisible grille that not only looks great, but also protects your precious woofers from curious fingers, claws or snouts.
