These 5.1 combinations of our flagship Verus family offer an extraordinary performance of theater quality sound in your home. They all include the Verus III Grand Center for incredibly detailed & clear dialogue and the Bravus II 12D Subwoofer to provide the deep low-end impact that modern movies demand. We even decided to throw in a 100FT spool of 12-gauge speaker wire and a subwoofer cable to ensure you have high quality connections across the board. Simply choose the bundle with the front and rear speakers you want, to save HUNDREDS on your system!
For the front speakers, our Verus III Grand Tower is the pinnacle of Aperion engineering. This is the ideal speaker for both home theater and music applications and will deliver the highest fidelity. The Verus III Grand Bookshelf is a condensed version based on the same technology and sound signature. In situations where the tower is not feasible, the Verus III Grand Bookshelf is an excellent alternative for lifelike, natural sound in a more compact form.
The final component is the surround speakers. The rear position of these speakers is really what brings the "movie theater sound" home. In addition to the bookshelf, you can chose the Verus Surround Dipole/Bipole speaker for this role. These can be placed on stands or mounted flush on the wall. Their unique shape allows the sound to be spread throughout room for a truly enveloping experience.
To make these bundles even more delicious, we've also included an Aperion Gift Card for use on a future purchase. Keep it for yourself or gift it to a friend. The Gift Card will be emailed to you at the end of the trial period.

Our design objectives required a tweeter that permits a lower crossover frequency in order to unburden the midrange cones above 2.6 kHz, where they tend to beam. To address this conundrum, we went to the drawing board with the goal of developing a tweeter with a diaphragm that resists “rocking” near its resonant frequency. By pinning the diaphragm’s center in a plane above the voice coil, it became “axially stabilized,” which minimizes unwanted distortion. The silk dome is coated in a specially developed damping compound to ensure a smooth and accurate response with controlled resonance. The refined "wishbone" waveguide has resulted in better output, with more uniform frequency response and wider dispersion across its operating range. The ferrofluid cooled voice-coil is driven by a high-energy ferrite magnet motor.
All woofers in the Verus family employ Kevlar cones. With the crossover point starting at about 300 Hz, this exceptionally rigid Kevlar material allows for a warm, clean and dynamic response. This is driven by a high-performance ferrite magnet structure with a vented pole piece to reduce heat build-up and larger T-toke for increased excursion to increase bass response. The aluminum phase plug and extended voice coil increases power handling to ensure they perform to the max. These midrange "bullet drivers" provide an extraordinary level of detail contributing to the Verus III Grand Tower's full-color palette of sound.
The dual 6.5" Kevlar woofers provide intense punch with a long-throw linear excursion design. These anchor the bottom end of the 3-way crossover network to provide a tight, clean and accurate low-bass response.
Time-intensive iterative designing and fine-tuning of the crossover networks have resulted in a smoother, more neutral, and better balanced frequency response across the whole range. Enhanced phase integration between the tweeter and midrange drivers have also resulted in a cleaner, more open sound in the transition regions. The Verus III employs superior customized components, which include high quality thin film capacitors to provide minimum dielectric loss, customized Aperion internal wiring with spade connectors to make upgrading a breeze, and we even went as far as customizing the PCB board with an Aperion red color to represent our love of great sounding audio!
The Verus III Grand Towers include the TrebleMod feature that allows for reduction of the speakers high frequency response. This feature is designed to help the Grand Towers perform optimally within a variety of different listening environments as well as to accommodate listener preferences. We encourage you to try the speaker with the TrebleMod setting in both the 0dB and -3dB positions and to use the configuration that you find to be the most enjoyable for your usage and room. This serves as a room correction feature for people with “live” rooms that have a large amount of reflective surfaces.
Optional port plugs are included with the Verus III Grand Tower. If the speakers are placed close to a wall or they sound "boomy" in your room, one or both of the foam plugs may used to control the bass response.
