If you assumed that Aperion uses generic speakers from a random manufacturer, you'd be dead wrong. We design and engineer all our speakers in-house to our exact specifications. This is not just sound, it's Aperion sound.
Our patented Axially Stabilized Radiating tweeter retains the anchored center point of the original ASR tweeter to better control break up modes. Additional design refinements coupled with the new “wishbone” waveguide produces better output, more uniform frequency response and broader dispersion across its operating range.
Fine-tuning of the crossover networks has resulted in a smoother, more neutral and better balanced frequency response across the entire audible range. You’ll experience better phase integration between the tweeter and midrange drivers resulting in a cleaner, more open sound in the transition regions.
The stamped metal jumpers have been replaced with 12-gauge wire jumpers between the binding posts creating more surface area for signal flow. This results in lower resistance, lower impedance and overall better transfer of signal at the speaker’s terminals.
We’ve upgraded the wiring from 18 gauge to 16, 14 and 12 gauge wiring supporting the tweeter, midrange and woofer respectively. The outcome is more “headroom” in higher power applications.
