Novus N5B 2-Way 5.25 Inch Front-Ported Bookshelf Speaker (Pair)
The APERION Novus 5B is a very flexible and versatilefront ported bookshelf speakers, which can be either used as an excellent stereo setup, with pinpoint imaging and wide soundstage, or integrated into a thrilling surround system. As the Novus N5B uses the same tweeter and mid/bass driver as the Novus N5T, sonically, it is a perfect match and able to perform with precision and accuracy. Despite the compact size of its cabinet, the deep bass qualities are astonishing. The implementation in a stereo system is recommended in rooms where powerful and dynamic sound is desired, but where there is not enough space for larger speakers.
Our design team kept aesthetics at the top of mind while designing our Novus family. Whether you have a dedicated black-out home theater room, or an open sunshine filled family room, the Stealth Black and Pure White painting are sure to be endorsed by your other furniture.

1" German Silk-Dome Tweeter
Each Novus Loudspeaker is embedded with our 1 inch German Silk Dome tweeter - a high-end natural fiber dome membrane. A neodymium motor and ferrofluid cooled voicecoil help give this tweeter a flat frequency response that can extend up to 30kHz. It is surrounded by an aluminum faceplate and metal grille.
5.25" Aramid-Fiber Woofer
Our Aramid-Fiber Woofer cones feature a unique tooled rubber surround to conceal the mounting screws in each Novus speaker. These are a long-throw linear excursion design, with broad dynamic range and low distortion.
Tweeter Adjustment
The Novus N5B Bookshelf speakers come with a Tweeter Adjustment feature. Choose either the standard voicing for crisp, clear treble or the -3dB setting for a more mellow treble response.
Advanced Crossover
Time-intensive iterative designing and fine-tuning of the crossover networks have resulted in a smoother, more neutral, and better balanced frequency response across the whole range. Enhanced phase integration between the tweeter and mid-bass drivers have also resulted in a cleaner, more open sound in the transition regions. The N5B employs superior customized components, which include high quality thin film capacitors to provide minimum dielectric loss, and customized Aperion internal wiring with quick disconnect connectors to make any (unlikely) repairs a breeze.
Front Slotted Reflex Port
A slotted reflex port on the tower and bookshelf speakers reduces air-leak noise with increased bass performance.
The sloping front baffle
The thoughtfully designed sloping front baffle enhances the audio experience by ensuring precise phase alignment between the treble and bass drivers. This deliberate angle not only contributes to a seamless integration of high and low frequencies but also fosters a more cohesive soundstage, allowing for clearer and more defined musical details.

How do I clean and care for my Novus speakers?
Since the Novus series features a matte black, gloss black and white finish, the cabinets can be cleaned by simply wiping them with the microfiber polishing cloth included in the packaging. Should that not do, reach for some Pledge Polish spray.
