Fons F83S In-Wall Mounting Kit
Since the F83S is inherently an ultra-slim, wall-mounted speaker, Aperion Audio has custom-designed this in-wall mounting kit to ensure compatibility and a secure fit for users seeking a seamless in-wall installation.
Who should purchase this in-wall speaker kit?
If you have a compact AV space and prefer not to have exposed speakers taking up valuable room, or if your ultimate installation requirement is for the speaker enclosure to be fully recessed into the wall structure with the grille sitting almost flush against the wall surface, then this in-wall kit is an essential choice for creating an invisible Fons home theater.
How to install and use it ?
Installation instructions are as follows:
1. Mark Wall Postion
Use the provided cutout template to mark and cut the opening at the desired location on the wall;
2. Place the mounting plate on the front of the product
The wooden cabinet have grille tree loks that secure the grille and hold the metal mounting plates.
3. Drill pilot holes in the wooden cabinet
Drill pilot holes using an appropriate drill bit; this makes driving the screws easier and prevents damage to the mounting plate and speaker cabinet;
4. Secure the mounting plate
Secure the mounting plate to the front of the speaker cabinet using the included screws, tightening them firmly;
5. Insert the speaker into the wall cutout
Insert the speaker (with the mounting plate attached) into the wall cutout (Note: connect the speaker cables before insertion). Use a marker to mark the pilot hole locations through the outer ring of screw holes;
6. Secure the mounting plate to the wall
Drill pilot holes using an appropriate drill bit. Position the speaker and secure the mounting plate to the wall using the
included screws;
7. Attach the magnetic grille
Ensure the speaker is securely mounted, then attach the magnetic grille;
8. Done
Your in-wall mounting is now complete.
Important Notice
When using the in-wall mounting kit, the Fons product itself will inevitably sustain damage, as screws must be driven directly into its wooden cabinet.
Once you have done this, the Fons product and wall-mounting kit are no longer eligible for return. However, other components—such as the speaker drivers and crossovers—remain covered by Aperion Audio’s standard 5-year warranty.
