Theatrus T80 Dual 8" Monitor Speaker
The Theatrus T80 loudspeaker is designed for impactfully accurate home theaters and studios with the flexibility for use anywhere in a multichannel system or stereo arrangements.
The Theatrus T80 is a 3-Way design, featuring an array of five (5) drivers, which fuses into a super force of sound quality that is designed for home theater, custom installation, professional music studios, and film studios.
These speakers provide a clear and robust audio experience with remarkably lifelike imaging, all while preserving a neutral sound that remains faithful to the original mix.
Developed with flexibility at its core, the T80 can be oriented in several ways to satisfy system demands. Multiple threaded mounting inserts along with onboard sound adjustments support a wide array of custom installations.
True Hi-Fi Level Home Cinema Speaker
The Theatrus T80 and T65 LCR loudspeakers from our Theatrus line are designed specifically for home theaters, making them perfect for use as front and center speakers.
These speakers deliver clear and powerful sound, giving you an incredibly realistic movie-watching experience. They also perform well for music and concerts thanks to their high-quality components and careful design. To ensure a consistent sound throughout your space, you can even use the Theatrus T80 speakers as your primary bed-level speakers in your surround sound setup.
It's not all about sound though, the speaker has a clean and smooth appearance. The Aperion crafted AMT Haier Ribbon Tweeter, and Dual 2-inch Soft-Dome Mid-Range Drivers are housed in a custom designed aluminum faceplate. Enhanced low end is produced by the Dual 8" Woofers which were crafted from Germany's Propex Fabrics' Curv material. The Theatrus T80 Speaker offers higher sound pressure levels, suitable for larger listening environments.
The Theatrus T80 Speaker can be arranged vertically or horizontally, dependent on the application. Along with the integrated mounting inserts are two frequency tuning switch options on the rear of the speaker for even greater placement flexibility. Three Way Design
The Theatrus T80 features a superior three-way speaker design, demonstrating significant advantages in audio reproduction. It is meticulously configured with Aperion’s Air Motion Tweeter, boasting exceptional sensitivity and the ability to precisely reproduce high-frequency details; two 2-inch soft-dome midrange drivers, delivering rich, natural midrange performance; and two 8-inch long-throw Curv Cone woofers, providing a powerful, highly impactful low-frequency soundstage.
Robust Construction
The T80 features a cabinet constructed from robust, high-density fiberboard (HDF). Its interior is meticulously engineered with multiple structural braces to ensure rock-solid stability, effectively eliminating cabinet resonance at its source and enabling a pure, interference-free audio output. The cabinet is finished with a matte black paint that feels premium to the touch. It's especially well-suited to a dark cinema environment because it is non-reflective.

Easy mount and install
The Theatrus T80 speaker features a total of six mounting holes on three different sides of its back, allowing for flexible installation in various directions. Included in the box is our Stealth Mount wall bracket, making installation quick and easy. Additionally, four rubber feet are included in the package. Please note that you need to attach two of the rubber feet near the red circle marks shown in the picture above to ensure that the speaker remains balanced. If you choose to install it on other edges, the same principle applies.

Time-intensive iterative designing and fine-tuning of the crossover networks have resulted in a smoother, more neutral, and better-balanced frequency response across the whole range. Enhanced phase integration between the tweeter and woofer drivers has also resulted in a cleaner, more open sound in the transition regions.
All of the speakers in our Theatrus series are meticulously crafted with high-quality custom components, including Aperion's premium metallized polypropylene capacitors, copper wire inductors, and precision wire wound resistors.

Sound Adjustment
The Theatrus T80 Speaker adapts to various arrangements and positions with adjustments for Baffle-Wall (In-Wall) or Free-Field (On-Wall). Along with the bass adjustment, we also included a high frequency adjustment to compensate the high frequency when the speaker is placed behind a projection screen.
How to adjust the sound
Sound Adjustment Jumper
On the aluminum backplate housing the crossover controls on the rear of the T80, there are two jumper plugs: one for adjusting the low-frequency response and the other for adjusting the high-frequency response.
High Frequency Adjustment
If the T80 needs to be positioned behind a projection screen—which attenuates high frequencies—you can insert the high-frequency adjustment jumper into the "Acoustic Screen" position to boost high-frequency sensitivity to compensate for the attenuation.
Bass Adjustment
If the T80 is to be mounted into a wall—where the wall acts as a large baffle that influences low-frequency response—the low-frequency adjustment jumper plug can be set to the "Baffle-Wall (In-Wall)" position to flatten the low-frequency response curve.
Rotatable Easy-Pull Spring-Loaded Logo
The Theatrus T80 speaker can be placed nearly anywhere; On-wall, In-wall, on the ground, on a stand or even on the ceiling*, the Theatrus line can effectively cover most of the listening area. The speaker can be arranged vertically or horizontally, dependent on the application.
*While we do not recommend you mount the Theatrus T80 to the ceiling yourself, should you mount the Theatrus T80 speaker on the ceiling take precautions in making sure you mount it to a ceiling joist, and using appropriate mounting hardware.
Rubber Bumper Feet Installation
There are four rubber bumper pads included with adhesive on one side. These rubber pads are to be installed to prevent the speaker cabinet from vibrating on the surface on which it is placed. It will also prevent vibrations while hanging on the wall. Lastly, the rubber pads also prevent the speaker's surface from getting scratched.

High-Fidelity Cinema Sound Quality
While listening to music, the high-frequency performance stands out, with a solid low-end density and a wealth of detail in the mid and high frequencies.
The low frequencies are quick and distinct, showcasing impressive layering.
In a multi-channel home theater setup, the audio imaging characteristics of the system are clearly evident. The sound field positioning is exceptionally precise.
Its transient response and control are excellent, allowing for smooth transitions between large and small signals. The sound retraction and release are sharp and crisp, with no dragging, perfectly complementing the original soundtrack and delivering a genuine audio experience to the audience.
The independent dome midrange and AMT tweeter produce vibrant sound, yet they manage to remain soft and avoid being overly harsh. Even from outside the home theater, the sound quality is easily discernible. For example, when listening to opera, the sound demonstrates powerful penetration, effortlessly passing through sound-transparent screens without any strain!
Sound Adjustment
A jumper switch is located on the rear of the loudspeaker and is factory-preset to "Free Field" mode. Perforated projection screens typically attenuate high frequencies, whereas woven screens generally do not; however, this is merely a general guideline, as performance varies significantly across different brands and screen types. Consequently, we have provided an "Acoustic Screen" option that boosts high-frequency output by +5dB to compensate for the high-frequency attenuation caused by acoustically transparent screens or fabrics. You should select either the "Free Field" or "Acoustic Screen" setting based on your actual listening preference.
When a loudspeaker is flush-mounted in a wall, it typically results in approximately 6dB of gain in the 100–200 Hz range. As some listeners may find this tonal balance undesirable, we have included a jumper switch to select the setting that best suits your listening experience.

Can the Theatrus T80 speakers be mounted on walls, or do they only work on stands?
Yes, the Theatrus T80 monitor speakers can be wall mounted! Included in the box is our Stealth Mount wall-mount bracket for wall or installation, due to the weight of the T80 we recommend only using our Stealth Mount, or another mount with 60+lb of carrying capacity.
Plus, they can easily be placed on speaker stands, giving you flexible setup possibilities whether you’re optimizing your home theater or studio space.
