Daedalus DS15 Class D Powered 15 Inch Subwoofer
We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new 15" subwoofer in our entry-level active subwoofer lineup.
This introduction is designed to give more music and home theater fans the chance to enjoy the outstanding sound effects that a 15" subwoofer can provide, all while keeping it budget-friendly.
The Daedalus DS15 active subwoofer is equipped with a powerful 15-inch driver, enabling it to generate deep bass with impressive clarity. The bass output of this subwoofer is remarkably deep and intricate, able to resonate with the very core of one's being. It also features outstanding dynamic responsiveness across a broad spectrum of frequencies.
Whether it's the thrill of a rock anthem or the delicacy of a classical composition, it delivers both with flawless precision.
This remarkable performance is achieved thanks to its robust digital amplifier, which can produce up to 550W RMS. Reference-Level Bass With Effortless Authority
Designed for dedicated home theaters and serious audiophile systems, the Daedalus DS15 delivers powerful, room-filling bass with the precision and control expected from a premium subwoofer.
At its heart is a custom-engineered 15-inch woofer utilizing Aperion Audio's advanced composite paper cone technology. Lightweight yet exceptionally rigid, the cone delivers fast transient response while preserving the natural character and detail of the lowest frequencies. A proprietary damping treatment further reduces resonance and distortion, ensuring clean, articulate bass even at reference listening levels.
The driver is built around a butyl rubber surround, oversized high-power voice coil, and robust magnetic motor system that allow exceptional cone excursion with outstanding linearity. Together, these components enable the DS15 to produce immense low-frequency output while maintaining remarkable accuracy and composure.
Driving this powerful woofer is Aperion's latest high-output Class D amplifier, engineered to provide exceptional efficiency and dynamic headroom. Advanced DSP processing and carefully optimized filtering maximize performance while protecting the driver, delivering deep, authoritative bass that remains tight, controlled, and musical under the most demanding conditions.
The DS15 offers professional-grade connectivity with both RCA and balanced XLR inputs and outputs, making it equally at home in two-channel reference systems and immersive home theater installations. Integrated pass-through outputs simplify multi-subwoofer configurations for even greater low-frequency performance.
Its signature curved cabinet is more than a distinctive design statement—it also reduces enclosure resonance to improve sonic accuracy. A heavily braced MDF cabinet, thick front baffle, premium black oak veneer, and precision-engineered front-port work together to produce deep, effortless bass with minimal cabinet coloration or port noise.
Whether reproducing the subtle resonance of an upright bass or the visceral impact of cinematic effects, the Daedalus DS15 delivers reference-level performance with authority, precision, and exceptional refinement.
Product Features
Stunning low-frequency effects
The Daedalus DS15 serves as an entry-level active subwoofer. It delivers outstanding performance and deep, resonant low-frequency sounds that are surprising for its price range. Its capacity to produce rich, strong bass elevates your audio experience, making it a great option that offers fantastic value for your money.
Front-firing single-driver design
The core advantages of a front-firing subwoofer design lie in flexible placement, a direct listening experience, low-frequency clarity, efficient energy transfer, and a unified visual and psychological impact.
Solid Build
The Daedalus DS15 Subwoofer features a cabinet constructed from robust, medium-density fiberboard (MDF). Its interior is meticulously engineered with multiple structural braces to ensure rock-solid stability, effectively eliminating cabinet resonance at its source and enabling a pure, interference-free audio output. The cabinet is finished with a black oak veneer that feels premium to the touch. It's especially well-suited to a dark cinema environment due to the low reflection rate of the Black finish.
Flexible Connectivity
The Daedalus subwoofer seamlessly integrates into your stereo and home theater system, featuring both XLR and RCA inputs and outputs. With straightforward controls for crossover, volume, and phase, you can easily fine-tune your setup to achieve the perfect sound.
Ported vs Sealed Stencil Illustrations
The Deadalus subwoofer features a ported enclosure equipped with a foam plug, allowing for both sealed and ported operating modes. This enables you to adjust bass extension, damping, and output based on room size and listening preferences.
Quality Commitment
Daedalus offers a five (5) year warranty on cabinets and drivers, two (2) years on amplifiers, and lifetime maintenance and support, showing our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Its Class D configuration generates ample current for superior subwoofer performance, ensuring it integrates effortlessly with any home theater or stereo system. The front-ported cabinet is fine-tuned to provide accurate, impactful bass that can fill nearly any size space.
Unbalanced (RCA) & Balanced (XLR) Input & Output
The Daedalus subwoofer has dual output modes with unbalanced (RCA) and balanced (XLR) outputs. This design solves the problem of limited preamplifier output ports and allows you to use these ports flexibly for a powerful multi-subwoofer setup. No matter how many subwoofers you want to connect, Daedalus can handle it with ease, improving your sound system's overall impact.
Unique curved cabinet design
Daedalus distinguishes itself in the subwoofer market with its unique curved cabinet design, moving away from the typical square shape. This innovative look enhances visibility and gives users an appealing visual option while improving sound quality.
Front Inverted cabinet design
The subwoofer has a large front-mounted inverted tube design that enhances low-frequency output, efficiency, and distortion control, making it perfect for powerful bass. Aperion's optimizations also ensure minimal port noise.
Getting to Know The Rear Panel
1. AC Power Cord Receptacle: A US standard power cord has a 3-pin plug with live, neutral, and ground wires. The ground wire enhances safety by carrying leakage current to the ground and reducing the risk of electric shock.
2. On/Off Switch: Turns Subwoofer On/Off.
3. Auto & Standby: When set to Auto, the subwoofer powers on with an input signal and enters standby after 30 minutes of inactivity. In Always On mode, the subwoofer stays powered regardless of input.
4. Phase: The phase adjustment knob optimizes the phase relationship between the subwoofer and main speakers, improving low-frequency response and system integration while accommodating different speaker positions.
5. Crossover 40-160 Hz & OFF/LFE: The crossover adjustment knob lets you control which frequencies the subwoofer processes, ensuring better synergy with the main speaker and reducing sound overlap. Setting the crossover point to 80Hz means the subwoofer handles sounds below 80Hz while the main speaker handles those above. If your AV receiver has a separate LFE output, set the crossover knob to Off. This allows the RCA input to act like the LFE input, managing low-frequency signals without using a subwoofer crossover, ideal for home theaters.
6. Volume: Adjust the volume.
7. Unbalanced (RCA) line level input & Unbalanced (RCA) line level output
8. Balanced (XLR) line level input
9. Balanced (XLR) line level output
10. Voltage Switch: Manually adjust the voltage of 110-220v.

Single High-Excursion 15" Active Paper Cone Woofer
Crafted for powerful bass in a compact cabinet, we prefered paper cones for their light weight and moderate rigidity, which effectively reproduce low frequencies and produces a warm, natural sound.
This lightweight design allows for quick audio signal response, improving low-frequency speed and dynamics. Our advanced damping material reduces unwanted vibrations, lowering distortion and enhancing clarity. 550 Watt Class D Amplifier
The Daedalus DS15 subwoofer features an amplifier that fully utilizes the potential of its 15" woofer driver, delivering both strength and precise control. Its Class D configuration generates ample current for superior subwoofer performance, ensuring it integrates effortlessly with any home theater or stereo system. The Daedalus Subwoofer series incorporates a specialized detection circuit that keeps distortion below 1%, even at maximum power output (maximum volume).
Unbalanced (RCA) & Balanced (XLR) Inputs and Outputs
We have also improved input options. To meet various needs, we kept the standard unbalanced RCA inputs and added balanced XLR inputs. That connects to any receiver’s subwoofer pre-out.
XLR uses balanced transmission to minimize noise and interference, making it perfect for long-distance cable runs. This reduces signal loss for clearer sound quality, while the locking design ensures a secure connection.
The Daedalus DS15 subwoofer has dual output modes with unbalanced (RCA) and balanced (XLR) outputs. This design solves the problem of limited preamplifier output ports and allows you to use these ports flexibly for a powerful multi-subwoofer setup. No matter how many subwoofers you want to connect, Daedalus can handle it quickly, improving your sound system's overall impact.
Phase 0-180° Knob
The phase adjustment knob optimizes the phase relationship between the subwoofer and main speakers, resolving phase cancellation and improving low-frequency response. It's essential for accommodating different speaker positions and enhancing overall system integration.
Auto & Always On
When the switch is set to the Auto position, the subwoofer automatically turns on and plays music when it detects an input signal. The subwoofer automatically enters standby mode if there is no input signal for more than 30 minutes.
If the switch is set to the Always On position, the subwoofer will remain powered on regardless of whether it detects a signal, and it will not enter standby mode.
Crossover 40-160 Hz & Off/LFE
The crossover adjustment lets you control the range of frequencies that the subwoofer processes. This helps it work well with the your other speakers and avoids overlap or loss of sound. If both the subwoofer and your speakers play the same frequencies at the same time, the sound can become muddy and unclear.
By adjusting the crossover point, you can keep frequencies from overlapping, which makes the sound clearer.
For example, if you set the crossover point to 80Hz, the subwoofer will handle sounds below 80Hz, allowing the main speaker to handle frequencies 80Hz and up.
If configuring a home theater system with LFE, set the crossover knob to Off. This bypasses the internal crossover, allowing the Daedalus sub to process all LFE information which is generally 20-120Hz.
Unique curved cabinet design
Daedalus DS15 Subwoofer distinguishes itself in the subwoofer market with its unique curved cabinet design, moving away from the typical square shape.
This innovative look enhances visibility and gives users an appealing visual option while providing fantastic low frequency.
Front ported cabinet design
All Daedalus subwoofers feature a large front-mounted inverted port tube design that enhances low-frequency output, efficiency, and distortion control.
Making it perfect for powerful, and low bass. Aperion's optimizations also ensure minimal port noise.
Internally Braced 1" MDF
Powerful bass needs a sturdy cabinet. Every Daedalus subwoofer is built out of strong 1" MDF and is internally braced to reduce cabinet vibration to nearly nothing.

Quality at a Fair Price
Aperion Audio combines a sturdy design with strict quality-control standards to ensure customers receive high-quality products at reasonable prices.
Beefy, this beast is an earthquake in a box. I've owned tons of subs, from Klipsch to SVS. The Aperion DS15 wipes the floor with them all. Sound fx in Movies hit low and violentlty, kick drums in music attack with ferocity, speedy and accurate. Bass guitars melodic and detailed. If you're searching for that Endgame sub... this is it.
Do not hesitate to click that buy button and pull the trigger.
I recently purchased two of these monsters. They are big! They arrived in perfect condition. They are heavy and difficult to maneuver, so be ready with some helpers.
They are really fun and seem like a bargain.
All I can say is this subwoofer is a beast! I also have two SVS subwoofers, which still hit hard. But this DS15 has them beat.
If you want a sub that does great in movies and music, I highly recommend this sub without question.
The best home audio purchase I've ever made.
On max volume, you can feel this kick in your bones. It's reminiscent of the hair-follicle shaking, eyelash fluttering, and chest vibration you get with high-end car audio.
Do you want the best of the best? Get this!
Purchased 2 of these monsters recently. I have tried an SVS PB4000 previously, and now have these.
I don't think these can be beat, dollar for dollar.
Regardless, they hit hard, the finish is beautiful, and I finally have my "end game" subs.
Awesome sub!
I'm so happy with this subwoofer. I have tons of headroom in my 3000 cu ft room. I couldn't be more satisfied.
Subwoofer- 5 stars. Customer service- 1 star.
I've owned many subwoofers in my lifetime, but to date, this one is the Mac daddy of them all.
It hits low, hard, and quick. I'm very surprised how musical it is. There's really no reason you would need two of these in a theater smaller than 4000 cu ft. It hits so low it will blow you away.
I ordered the Daedalus sub to complement my existing SVS PBUltra, and although the SVS costs more, the monolith behemoth delivers satisfying bass at absurd volumes. The Daedalus rivals the SVS in low-frequency performance, if not surpassing it.
