Theatrus T65WL In-Wall LCR Speaker
The Theatrus T65WL Speaker is a 3-Way LCR In-Wall Speaker featuring an array of five (5) drivers that fuse into a superforce of sound quality, designed for home theater, custom installation, professional music studios, and film studios. It's not all about sound, though; the speaker has a clean and smooth appearance.
The Aperion crafted AMT Ribbon Tweeter and Dual 2-inch Soft-Dome Mid-Range Drivers are housed in a custom-designed aluminum faceplate. Enhanced low end is produced by Dual 6.5" Woofers, which were crafted from German Propex Fabrics Curv material.

Our goal with the launch of the Theatrus Series was to make the most versatile speaker for various applications and to enhance their ability to blend seamlessly into different environments. With our main research being on how to create thinner, more compact speakers while maintaining excellent sound quality.
We are delighted to introduce to you the "Slim Stack In-Wall" series of Theatrus speakers. These speakers can blend into your home theater, making them almost invisible. They provide fantastic movie sound without any distractions. This long, rectangular cabinet accommodates veritcal placement between standard 16" stud spacing.
The Theatrus T65WL In-Wall Speaker is ideal for front left, right, and center channel, but can be used in any position in the home theater system for a detailed, uniform and immersive sound stage.

The Theatrus T65WL features a superior three-way speaker design, demonstrating significant advantages in audio reproduction. Sealed slim cabinet design
One of the most important factors in achieving exceptional sound quality is controlling how the loudspeaker's energy is used. A sealed in-wall speaker enclosure prevents sound from dispersing into the wall cavity, where it can create unwanted reflections, resonances, and performance inconsistencies. That is why Theatrus in-wall loudspeakers feature a fully sealed enclosure design. By isolating the driver from the surrounding wall space, they deliver more accurate bass response, greater tonal consistency, and improved clarity, while also minimizing sound leakage into adjacent rooms. Robust Construction
The T65WL features a cabinet constructed from robust, high-density fiberboard (HDF). Its interior is meticulously engineered with multiple structural braces to ensure rock-solid stability, effectively eliminating cabinet resonance at its source and enabling a pure, interference-free audio output. The cabinet is finished with a matte black paint that feels premium to the touch. It's especially well-suited to a dark cinema environment because it is non-reflective.
Easy To Mount and Install
Simply mark the intended placement using the cut-out template enclosed with the speaker, prepare the opening, attach speaker wire, drop in the box, tighten screws and fit the front grille. Then, get ready to be blown away.

Dual High-Excursion 6.5" CURV Woofers

It maintains a high resistance to temperature without absorbing water, and, most importantly for driver unit creation, it possesses a high Young's Modulus along with internal damping.
Advanced Crossover
Time-intensive iterative designing and fine-tuning of the crossover networks have resulted in a smoother, more neutral, and better-balanced frequency response across the whole range. Enhanced phase integration between the tweeter and woofer drivers has also resulted in a cleaner, more open sound in the transition regions.
All of the speakers in our Theatrus series are meticulously crafted with high-quality custom components, including Aperion's premium metallized polypropylene capacitors, copper wire inductors, and precision wire wound resistors.

Sound Adjustment
The Theatrus T65WL Speaker adapts to various arrangements and positions with adjustments for Baffle-Wall (In-Wall) or Free-Field (On-Wall). Along with the bass adjustment, we also included a high frequency adjustment to compensate the high frequency when the speaker is placed behind a projection screen.
How to adjust the sound
Sound Adjustment Jumper
On the aluminum backplate housing the crossover controls on the rear of the T65WL, there are two jumper plugs: one for adjusting the low-frequency response and the other for adjusting the high-frequency response.
High Frequency Adjustment
If the T65WL needs to be positioned behind a projection screen—which attenuates high frequencies—you can insert the high-frequency adjustment jumper into the "Acoustic Screen" position to boost high-frequency sensitivity to compensate for the attenuation.
Bass Adjustment
If the T65WL is to be mounted into a wall—where the wall acts as a large baffle that influences low-frequency response—the low-frequency adjustment jumper plug can be set to the "Baffle-Wall (In-Wall)" position to flatten the low-frequency response curve.
Rotatable Easy-Pull Spring-Loaded Logo
Theatrus speakers can be placed On-wall, In-wall, on the ground or on the ceiling, the Theatrus line can effectively cover most of the listening area. The speaker can be arranged vertically or horizontally, dependent on the application.

Sound Adjustments
A jumper switch is located on the rear of the loudspeaker and is factory-preset to "Free Field" mode. Perforated projection screens typically attenuate high frequencies, whereas woven screens generally do not; however, this is merely a general guideline, as performance varies significantly across different brands and screen types. Consequently, we have provided an "Acoustic Screen" option that boosts high-frequency output by +5dB to compensate for the high-frequency attenuation caused by acoustically transparent screens or fabrics. You should select either the "Free Field" or "Acoustic Screen" setting based on your actual listening preference.
When a loudspeaker is flush-mounted in a wall, it typically results in approximately 6dB of gain in the 100–200 Hz range. As some listeners may find this tonal balance undesirable, we have included a jumper switch to select the setting that best suits your listening experience.
Custom tuned 1" Thick HDF Sealed Cabinet
The Theatrus T65WL in-wall speaker's drivers come packed in a Stealth Black 1" Thick HDF Anti Resonant Cabinet, with a hardened steel front-baffle.
The heat hardened steel is powder coated for effective rust-proofing to last a lifetime.
For a powerful home theater performance, a sturdy cabinet is also essential. Every Theatrus speaker is made from tough and premium 1" HDF and is designed to keep cabinet vibrations at bay.

5-Way gold-plated binding posts
The 5-way gold-plated binding posts let you connect your speakers any which way you choose: bare wire, banana plugs, spades, round pins or flat pins.
Easy to mount and install
The Theatrus T65WL In-Wall speakers feature nifty red dog legs, which make installation a breeze!
Simply locate the 8 (4 on each side) screws that hold the dog legs in-place, get your wiring connected to the speakers, and then grab your trusty torque adjustable drill setting it to a low torque setting, and drill the screw until secure.

Rotatable Easy-Pull Spring-Loaded Logo
Depending on the position you choose to install the speaker, you can rotate the logo to the appropriate orientation by simply pulling and twisting the spring loaded logo.

I want a 7.1.4 system, so do I need a power amplifier?
Most receivers that have more than 7 channels, think an 11.2 Channel receiver for an example. They don't actually provide power to all 11 channels they just have the capability to process 11 channels of audio. So you would need a separate Power Amplifier to ensure all your speakers would function as expected.
Are these speakers passive or active?
All speakers in the Theatrus Series are passive speakers, meaning you would need to use a A/V Receiver with an Integrated Amp, or a Power Amplifier like the Energy Series of Power Amplifiers connected to the "Pre-Outs" on your AVR.
What speaker wire do you recommend for in-wall speakers?
For in-wall speakers, and in-ceiling speakers we recommend you get a StraightWire Waveguide 2.0 CL2or StraightWire Waveguide 1.5 CL2 rated speaker wire.
How do I clean and care for my Theatrus speakers?
Since the Theatrus T65WL speaker's front baffle is a hardened steel baffle finished with a matte black paint, the front baffle can be cleaned by simply wiping it with the microfiber polishing cloth included in the packaging or gently using a dusting wand ensuring to avoid the mid-range driver.
