Two Way Bookshelf Design
The Verus III Grand V5B features an exceptional two-way stand-mount design that offers distinct advantages in audio reproduction. It is meticulously equipped with Aperion’s patented 1.1” ASR tweeter, capable of precisely reproducing high-frequency details; and one 5.25” long-throw Kevlar woofer, providing a powerful and impactful low-frequency presence.
Robust Construction
The V5B features a cabinet constructed from robust, high-density fiberboard (HDF). In terms of aesthetics, the front baffle is finished with a Sandblasting matte spray-painting process that exudes a premium tactile quality; the remainder of the cabinet is finished in either an elegant black piano lacquer or a warm cherry-wood veneer.
Advanced Crossover
Time-intensive iterative designing and fine-tuning of the crossover networks have resulted in a smoother, more neutral, and better balanced frequency response across the whole range. Enhanced phase integration between the tweeter and midrange drivers have also resulted in a cleaner, more open sound in the transition regions. The Verus III employs superior customized components, which include high quality thin film capacitors to provide minimum dielectric loss, customized Aperion internal wiring, and we even went as far as customizing the PCB board with an Aperion red color to represent our love of great sounding audio!
Treble Mod Adjustments

Patented 1.1" ASR Tweeter
Our design objectives required a tweeter that permits a low crossover frequency in order to unburden the midrange cones above 2.6 kHz, where they tend to beam. To address this conundrum, we went to the drawing board with the goal of developing a tweeter with a diaphragm that resists “rocking” near its resonant frequency. By pinning the diaphragm’s center in a plane above the voice coil, it became “axially stabilized,” which minimized unwanted distortion. The silk dome is coated in a specially developed damping compound to ensure a smooth and accurate response with controlled resonance. A refined "wishbone" waveguide has resulted in better output, with more uniform frequency response and dispersion across its operating range. The ferrofluid cooled voice-coil is driven by a high-energy ferrite magnet motor.

5-way gold-plated binding posts
Bi-ampable is the techie way of saying you can connect one amplifier to the woofer and the other to the tweeter. Separating the low- and high-frequency wiring helps eliminate interaction, isolate power and reduce distortion.
Custom Lightweight Magnetic Grilles
To protect the speaker's drivers from accidents, pets or curious fingers, the entire Verus line sports a lightweight magnetic grille which can easily be removed when you want to show off your beautiful speakers to friends and family.
Note: To remove the grille, gently pinch the grille cloth at the top with your fingers and pull it outward to take it off easily.

These are my second set and I love the immersion of sound coming from a somewhat smaller profile. I used them strictly for audio listening, and now have included them as side and rear channels for my theatre room. Just an all around great speakers with the patented Aperion gorgeous finish.
The V5B speakers were delivered safely and damage-free from the opposite side of the country. Placenent on the old, existing, stands worked well and so, after a few minutes they were set up, wired up, and ready to go. First impessions were that sound quality was excellent with adequate bass and smooth high frequencies. I have some work to do with distance from the walls, distance between speakers and the intriguing plug, in the back of the speakers, that can cut the high frequencies. In the meantime, I've been cheking how they sound in home theater service - no complaints! So overall I am very happy with my choice and I'm fully expecting these speakers will continue for a long time to come.

aperion Verus Grand Towers, Center and Bookshelf Found those lovely speakers on an add in the AVS forums. After doing lots of reading about them from the AVS thread, and reviews, Pro and Customer alike, I decided to try them. Even if buying from Canada, would be more expensive. The customer service is excellent, so is the quality of the drivers, also the finish on the piano gloss is outstanding. Sound wise, also excellent, never regretted my purchase. A big 5 Star overall, and these little gem should have more following.
simply the best, I purchased the Versus II Grand towers, two Versus II grand bookshelf for surround, the Bravus II 12D sub, and the Versus II grand center, Wow. From customer service, to delivery, through set up and performance, exceeded expectations at every step of the way. Recommend them to all my friends and relatives. Strongly encouraging my kids and anyone who will listen, "don't put off spending a reasonable sum on quality audio." I have a Verus Grand 7:2 hybrid and love it. I have 2 Bravus II12D subs and C6DC in-ceiling speakers. It's a very versatile system that supports my gaming and home theater setup. Love the quality, durability and ease of set up. Thinking of separating the dedicated front base and going 9:2. Can't wait.
Nine years and going great Purchased speakers for a verus 5.1 surround system nine years ago. Had a strange room setup. Sent them a diagram and they helped me configure the system and pick out appropriate speakers. Great communications during the buying and shipping process. When the speakers arrived we were stunned. Packed extremely well and they were beautiful, gorgeous actually. Installation was a breeze. I called tech support a couple times with some nit pick questions. Got almost immediate responses. The sound is incredible. I tested them out on the Mahler Symphony No. 1. Fantastic. Clear highs, amazing presence. Needless to say, they did just fine in surround mode. Be careful with the sub woofer. There is enough power there to move the walls back and forth. Talk to my wife when I play Led Zeppelin. That said the bass is clean and not boomy. Of course they sent a follow up message -- not a survey. How do you like you speakers? anything we can do? kind of message. Told them about my experience and the president of the company wrote back thanking me for my purchase and input. He then asked which version of the Mahler I was listening to (Chcago Symphony - Abbado). Nine years later they still sound as good as the day I got them. Movies, classical music, rock n roll all sound great. And they still look stunning.
Love my speakers. I am using an Atmos configuration of 5.2.4. my Aperion Grands provide a seem less sound feild with a high degree of uniformity. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

THE best bang for your buck! Aperion offers speakers that would cost twice as much in a retail store. Their return policy (they pay both ways) is second to none and their customer service is the best I've experienced. I bought a 7.1 Intimus surround sound system from them twelve years ago and it is sill amazing. And I just bought a set of Verus Grand Speakers for my living room to use for mostly music but ended up connecting my TV as well. Strongly recommended!
I love you guys...I'm sure you are used to hearing that. I had an issue with my login...called customer service, and they got it sorted out and fixed in no time at all. That level of service is almost unheard of in today's world. I always think of you guys first as I need new equipment!
10 years old, Verus Grand 5.1 system. Astounded at the sound and the value these speakers have brought. About a year ago the subwoofer had an issue with a capacitor. $6 and some solder later, capacitor replaced and the sub is acting like nothing ever happened. Initially these were setup in a living room and they did very well. They’ve since moved into the guest room which is a lot smaller. Since that move they’ve never sounded better. Best speakers I’ve ever had. Their customer service is squarely placed on the top shelf. Recommendation is buy Aperion. Can’t go wrong.

I purchased the Aperion Verus Grand III's and the Bravus 10D sub about one month ago. They arrived very well packed and in a very timely fashion. The purple suade bags they come in are an extra nice touch and help protect the beautiful cabinets of these. Setting them up was very easy as Aperion packed them very thoughtfuly as to out the boxes with spikes and stands right on top so you can mount then flip then slide the box off. As for the sound....well simply put they are outstanding. Especially at this price point. Basically very hard to beat. Very detailed and refined mid-range. Vocals and snare drums have this very open, realistic snap to them. The tweeters sound very smooth but not dull and have a very nice open sound. I put mine at -3 db with trebel mod. They were a touch bright for my taste set to flat. But that's ok, these are flexible for multiple tastes with the trebel mod and it was added to the speaker nicely and is exactly what my ears like. As for the bass response. Smooth, full, detailed, and deep when needed. I have a pretty large room at 30x12 and these fill it up perfectly. Bass response is a non issue. I tried them plugged and partially plugged and completely unplugged and for my room and placement, fully unplugged works best. Although with some audio recordings that have excessive amounts of bass, I plug one port on each tower and it's fixed. I almost don't need the sub with them. But I have finally dialed the sub in and have it placed and blended nicely to fill in the 50hz and below section. I have my Grands biamped with a Sunfire 300Two on the bottoms and a Threshold 400A on mid/top. Wonderful sound. I did try them with just a single amp and then bi wired and finally bi amped. I feel the best result is biamped. But they still sounded wonderful any way I had them hooked up. I'll be buying more from Aperion. Excellent product. Very well thought out from the build to the design to the packaging. If you have the money, pull the trigger and grab these.
Great service and great products are the hallmark of Aperion Audio. I have been a fan from day one and every speaker in my house is theirs. My wife says 8 speakers is enough. I'm sure I'll get more at some point, after all there are other rooms than our home theater.
I have enjoyed my versus grand speakers for over 11 years. They still sound great. Anytime I have had a repair issue, which was rare, the Aperion representative has taken great care of me. Never a hassle. I will definitely buy again but mine still sound great.
3 great experiences! This is my third purchase from Aperion. What can I say? I have little experience with their customer service... because you don’t need any, the speakers are fabulous, have great manuals and play beautifully. And look beautiful. ANd are packed beautifully. I remember nearly buying some B&W speakers a few years ago. I got them home, unpacked them from their dodgy boxes and listened to their lackluster performance. They went back the same day. When a new Aperion shows up, I can’t tear myself away. The latest was a set of Verus bookshelves for a turntable based system. The bass is amazing... although ultimately I’ll move my Bravus 10D to really make them rock. Women’s voices are exquisite. But an old Bowie recording makes me wish that I could have heard him through these 40 years ago. They’re amazing.

Full natural sound, effortless bass and the best customer service Aperion Audio is great. I first bought a cherry wood set of 7.1 speakers from them in 2005 or so. I just recently moved to a new location and set everything up again and decided to order a set of Super Tweeters to make up for my old ears. The system sounds full and natural. The sub-woofer produces a wonderful effortless natural sounding foundation. The speakers sound as good today as they did 15 years ago. The customer service and shipping speed is great.
